She seems like a pretty good catch to be honest. I know she's attractive (and that can distort people), but she also seems to be pretty good on the inside. Congrats to the couple.

Best wishes kid, all I’ll say is I really wish I’d have listened to my parents when they told me getting married at 20 wasn’t the best decision. Kid has a shit ton on life left to live. To each their own as they say.

My MX'er mate married his school time girl friend. They'd been together since 12 and 13 yrs of age. She's the nicest hot chick I've ever met, and now in their late 30's, they're still going strong.

I think it helps to keep them (pro's) grounded, and less distracted.

There was a factory rider whose wife basically ruined his career by her bat-shit crazy antics around the team and in the pits. He went from winning a championship to being out of the sport in less than 5 years. She is his "ex" now, and he drives heavy equipment last I heard. Betting he wished he had waited until all the cabbage was in the bank...

Let's not act as if though all relationships work out, much less serve to "boost" a career. Some do; some don't.

Some people are ready for the responsibility of marriage at a young age. Others are not. Personally I would advise anybody to wait until 30 to get married, but some do it at 18 and are very happy with it. I hope he is ready for it, and I hope that she will continue to let him train and ride and do the things that he needs to do to compete at his very best. A woman can be a powerful motivator for a man, but she can also drag him into mediocrity simply by her desire to have his attention all the time.

Forkner has expressed on social media how much support she gives him behind the scenes and helps him stay cool under pressure. She isn't just a pretty face at the races, I'm pretty sure she's there helping him at the test track and comes from a racing family (don't quote me on it). It might end up being a Mathilde Musquin situation.
