Congrats to Chase. He finally put it all together and eliminated big mistakes and did not fade for entire main. Should be huge confidence boost, He keeps it up and he will be in title hunt. I will be pulling for him rest of season, let's hope he keeps it off the dirt.

Are Sexton and Mark Barnett the only two riders originally from Illinois to win a premier class SX main ? Of course Barnett also won a championship .

There’s a difference between thinking you can win…and knowing you can win. Last night sealed that deal for Chase. He’s gonna be dangerous from here on out.

More wins are obviously in his future.
Question is now, his finishes vs Roczen this year.

Are we seeing the change at the top at HRC ??

Excellent race !! Well earned first win !!
All the top guys were right there at the start Eli , Web , Kenny
ET3 was on Chase Sextons rear wheel and by the time Anderson
passed him for second place he was 8 seconds back !!

Do you think Chase didn’t realize how close Tomac was 2nd place was at the end? He seemed to kind of drop anchor and then realize holy crap Tomac is right there! Another lap and I think he would have had 2nd. For the record I had Sexton at first in fantasy.

I have a feeling it's going to get real bad for the competition. Congrats Chase!

Everyone will always talk about a guy getting his first win out of the way and going on a roll. You see that happening with Chase?

With the field stacked as it is now, I wouldn't necessarily say he will roll off wins but he could. Chase has proven that he can run the pace and now he knows he can win, it's a dangerous combination for his competitors.

His starts are pretty good too. Like you said, it's so stacked. Starts are going to be really important this year

I had Sexton in my fantasy picks…unfortunately had no one else right! It’s impossible to get the picks right so far…awesome racing and great ride for Sexton…..

I think it's a good start. He's certainly fast enough to roll off some wins.

Was really happy for Chase last night. He is just way to fast and talented to NOT win some races.

It's funny....I got a buddy who posts on here , and intentionally roots against Chase to win.... reason " I don't want him to win yet , because once he does , the SOB has the potential to go on a roll !! ". Haha.

Nightmare came true last night I guess. Laughing

He’s got the speed to win, but more importantly, he’s got the starts down to win.

Look at Ferandis, has the speed to win, but always starting outside the top 10 isn’t going to get him wins.

Hell of a ride by Chase. He just got his first taste and if he does it again soon it will elevate his thinking and he and El Hombre just might be the two battling for the championship.

Being from Illinois and speaking on behalf of all Illinoisians.........we couldn't be prouder of this guy. He was always at the local tracks and, of course, winning. He was the kid that was always riding around on the pitbike between races......seemed like he couldn't get enough of riding. What i like about Chase is that he loves riding as much as i do (or at least that's what it appears).

Amazing to see a local guy grow into winning a premier supercross race. Congrats Chase!

Yes, I thought nothing would come of Sexton after he was gifted the 250SX regional championship by Forkner. Wrong as usual.

Little career comparison between the two.

Chase Sexton:

2017 Pro Debut in MX
2018 SX 3 podiums
2018 MX 3 podiums
2019 250 SX East Champ, 6 podiums w/ 1 win
2019 MX 2 podiums
2020 250 SX East Champ, 8 podiums w/ 5 wins
2020 Moved up to 450 outdoors. 2 podiums w/ 1 win
2021 450 SX 3 podiums
2021 450 MX 1 win
2022 450 SX 1 win

Austin Forkner:

2016 Pro Debut in MX. 4 podiums w/ 1 win
2017 SX 2 podiums
2017 MX 7 races, 1 podium
2018 SX 3 podiums w/ 1 win
2018 MX 1 podium
2019 SX 6 podiums w/ 5 wins
2019 MX injured
2020 SX 3 races, 2 podiums w/ 2 wins
2020 MX injured
2021 SX 2 races, 2 podiums w/ 1 win
2021 MX 1 podium
2022 Still chasing a 250 title

In regards to being gifted the title, you have to be in it to win it. You can't control who lines up and who doesn't.
