I just listened to the PumpMX show and I believe I heard JT$ hint at the possibility of Chad going to KTM?

Anyone else notice?

Only major brand he hasn't ridden for at the factory level.

We hear this shit all the time, i remember a certain "insider" a few years ago claiming reedy had signed on the dotted line to orange. All turned out to be full of shit, but it's funny how people get excited over rumors that aren't much more than froth and bubble.

it wouldnt surprise me if he went orange, I suspect he cant get anymore support from Honda anymore. Rumours that Todd Waters might join the team and he currently rides orange.

My reasons why Honda wont support him:

1. results this year (sickness or not)
2. initially earlier on, he blamed the bike, any factory ride who wants to keep his ride will not do that
3. Honda did not supply a bike for his buddy Dean Wilson

but....I could be wrong lol

I guess he's obviously not satisfied as it is, meaning he's thinking about other solutions, looking at options. But at this point to draw any conclusions, extract anything he says as as a pointer seems a bit feeble. If we have 20 posters guessing, a few will be right. My guess he stays right where he is. Why start all over again? I get the temptation getting hired, must be a bitch running a business and being competitive at the same time, but getting hired, get paid less than previously, if paid at all doesn't sound that tempting either. Crazy, but I could see him with Genova, now when TA is gone...

Before he went to Honda - He tested the KTM and the Honda back to back and chose Honda for his "own" team - As Team owner he can ride whatever is the best deal or best deals he can secure .

I think its pretty safe to say hes put some motos in on the BTO bike. I dont think its a stretch to say hes contemplating doing a similar deal with his own team. I highly doubt head be team mates with dunge, they dont need him.

Pretty sure it was a 350 he casually tested in 2010. And the current model 450 wasn't out then.

No way, he would have to buy new orange tablecloths. Personally, I think he has to do whatever makes the most business sense at this point. It sure would be a good move for KTM to have a rider like Chad on their bike. KTM is methodically spending money to gain market share. To me this would be a good move......There are a lot of Reed fans out there evidenced by the many threads like this one. To get Chad on your brand is a huge big deal. Honda may be putting their eggs in another basket and he has to make a switch. Ktm with an orange 22 rig just makes sense to me. They are the only ones that would offer him a good deal at this point in my book. The bike is also pretty damn good and getting better every year.
