A nice ride for 5th. A step forward, and looking forward to him improving on this.

Happy for the guy, he needed a good finish. I honestly miss him racing the 250 class, having fun and acting goofy. Very good dude.

I’m a fan, and enjoy seeing him do so well for a rookie. Really excited to see how he does outdoors on the big bike.

He's the same guy. He just doesn't get the same press.

So happy for him, it hasn't been a great season for him but maybe this gives him the confidence to keep this up?

I agree that he’ll have the Yamaha 450 blues and won’t win anything consistently until he either switches teams or they make the bike work as well as the other factory teams. The bike is just not up to that level of racing yet.

Bike is a pig. Pless is one of the bigger guys in the class and still struggles with it. The ergos make it seem even heavier and taller than it is.

How does it ride? With all the laps you have put on Pless’s bike, how does it ride?

Jeez a lot of hate on the Yamaha. It’s a excellent bike and I think AP7 is doing great in his rookie year.

His fastest lap was right there with the podium guys.

Surprised it took Webb winning to convince people that the Yamaha is not a podium level bike.

I just now listened to the DMXS podcast with Reed and Coop.

Those guys each roasted that team... clearly somethings different there

I was a little bummed he got no mention from the announcers that I remember and he was in 4th for a long time. Big step up from him.

AP's showing steady improvement week by week, so don't understand why we're suddenly roasting his bike. He himself has said a lot of the learning curve has been trying to get better starts, and being up against a much tougher, harder to pass class of guys. He's putting it together.

And how quickly we forget how well Barcia clicked with the Yamaha. His was last year's "Cooper Webb" story, albeit somewhat less dramatic. Even picked to be Tomac's teammate on Team USA, FFS. And won A1.

Build/riding style-wise, Webb and Plessinger could not be more different, so comparing their performance on the same bike is ludicrous IMO.

Nobody is “suddenly” roasting the bike. It’s nom de plume has been “the blue pig” on here for a few years now...

Yet Barcia struggled on the JGR Suzuki while his results have been much better on the Yamaha. If I had to guess, I’d say different bikes fit different riders styles.

Oh, I know all about it. I'm just saying it's not like NOBODY is able to win on one. And with Plessinger actually making improvements, it's premature to say that the bike itself is a problem for him. Especially considering he himself has been forthcoming about challenges that have zilch to do with the bike.

Worst looking bike out there. He looks like Larocco on the 450, miss his 250 style.

Ralph called him in seventh when he was fourth, then said number 7 is in 4th. That was about it.

How many of the countless dweebs that have been trashing the yamaha since 2015 on here have actually put more than a lap on one? Someone start a meaningless poll.

Doesn’t Yamaha have more wins this season then a couple of the other brands?(Honda, Suzuki) also didn’t Webb podium on The Yam before he got hurt?
