Professional motocross announcer since 1987 for the Western New York Motocross Association.Life long lover of anything dirt bike related.Currently have in my stable,2006 kdx 200,2001 kdx 200,1977 bultaco 250 Pursang.1974 honda tl 125 trials bike,Co own a 1978 Yamaha yz 250,and also co own a 1983 Montesa 330 trials bike (beer drinking deals).1999 xr 200,plus a full blown modified yamaha pw 50 with a stroker and all the goodies) a relic from the infamous pw wars that happened pre ktm/cobra.

Always my favorite rider. Loved the European look of that era.I saw him at Broome one year on the white Chesterfield bike. He carried so much corner speed.

Very nice. I rode it a few years ago. But as a Newyorker I was out of my element(east coast dirt). I was only worried about two things, the sand and kick starting an XR 650. Everything else was awesome!

55+ here and ride as often as I can.Usually 50 + miles in the woods. I ride with a 73 yr old.He is the 1st to have his bike started and the last to shut it off at the end of the day.We old guys work over the young ones pretty good. BTW Fred Lucas(Barts older brother) still mx's at...

Plus you have to deal with local governments,surrounding land owners and the EPA. Also a lot of high dollar equipment as in dozers ,loaders ,tractors,and a watering system. I have talked so many people out of opening a track it isn't funny.Not that I am anti new tracks,but I am pro "successful" new tracks. Most people don't have a clue what is really involved in running a track.Local or otherwise. As for Miles Mountain I agree it could hold a national,but I doubt Phil would want the headaches...

Jlaw did a test in transworld and he was 4 seconds faster on the smoker on a small track. Baker who never ran a 250 2 stroke in his life also ran a few tenths faster on a smoker. Put 250 2 strokes in a national with lites bikes and have the best talent ride them and people will see...
