Looks like the honeymoon may be over....
Does Mike Fisher put his tail between his legs and ask Pro Circuit for help? (in hopes to keep Monsters support)
Does Mike Fisher lose Monster as a sponsor?
It appears that Monster is in the driver seat.

From GuyB's pit bits, looks like Kawi is going to do it in house:

One of the oddest stories we've heard lately involved Monster Energy Kawasaki, and their new exhaust sponsor for 2011, FMF. With news spreading via a drink industry magazine that FMF is licensing an energy drink, it put them in conflict with Monster Energy, and the team has removed all of the FMF logos from their equipment.

The Monster Energy Kawasaki guys were reportedly very happy with the performance and relationship with FMF. In the future they'll be using factory parts.

Yeah, they need an advertising copy that says: "FMF energy drink tastes like Klotz smells!"

From what I understand, the drink will be something along the lines of, "FMF: Feel The Power". As far as making it two-stroke flavor...you guys have been "smoking" a little too much.

An FMF energy drink will take off with the general public about as well as Moto Brew did. They would have been better off being Kawis official pipe supplier.

The beauty of marketing is its not the logo or sponsor mention. More people know it's a FMF pipe/silencer today than if they left the logos on. And FMF feel the power energy drink got tons of free advertising for the launch of the new product.

But from a marketing standpoint, the prospective energy drink won't have much sustainability. I mean, I get it that mx/sx is a market full of energy drink consumers, and that there is some potential for cross marketing the FMF energy brand and taking a chunk (be it very small) of a lucrative market, BUT I'm not so sure that FMF will carry much credence as a pipe brand making (i.e. branding) an energy drink--those categories are universes apart as far as I'm concerned. I like that they're a company trying to diversify, but that is a brand extension that is way WAY out in left field... and wouldn't you know it, they just inadvertently screwed themselves by going up against a category giant as part of a category-exclusive clause on a factory team. So in other words, a deal that would have positioned them to increase their share as a leader in the pipe market just got crushed by a move that will make them a minor (almost non-existent) player in the energy drink market that is already riddled with thousands of no-name brands--not smart.

I agree the FMF energy drink will fail and I don't give two shits. I was talking about the FMF logos taken off the silencer drawing attention to the pipe business which will prosper.

My sentiments as well. Monster just did FMF a huge favor for sure.

Regarding the chance for failure/success of their drink it can't hurt the FMF logo has been on trucks and vans for years covering up the Ford logo. Time will tell!

I dunno if that's such a good idea: bordering on that's a horrible idea. This obviously conflicts with other energy drinks, which every team for the most part is sporsored by, title sponsors. So why wouldn't they just do what they do ? Theres already a ton of em out there. stupid. donny jr. what the hell? we know this was your damn idea.

Sure it has brought our attention to a sticker less exhaust at this race. But signing with Factory Kawi was a big step forward for FMF. You think we'll be paying as much attention to a sticker less silencer in 7 races? You think it will be good marketing when Kawi are forced to team up with another brand or get back in bed with Pro Circuit? (Heck.. RV thanked ProCircuit on the podium, you don't get much better free advertising than that!).. and how many other clashes will there be? Most teams are backed by an energy drink of some kind.

FMF has some nice vintage looking graphics, but doesn't seem like there is enough there 'brand wise' to launch a credible energy drink. Just seems like a greedy & weird licensing deal.

Sounds like this a brainchild idea of his goofy ass kid Emler Jr. and his retarded attention whoring friend Malcom Non- McClassey.

What is funny is that weren't these two guys tight with Sepkovic at Monster for quite a while? I thought I remembered seeing some time ago them getting pictures taken and doing mx related stuff together.

photo shop! How does Kawie get it looking like a standard FMF after removal of the badge which was tacked on previous?

Im thinking alot of you two stroke lovers didnt do much racing. I have bad memories of being stuck in the middle of 40 smoking bikes trying to get through a little gate so they can get their 3 laps of practice in and feeling sick from all the smoke. Or sitting at the starting gate next to some guy who couldnt get his mixture right and his smoke blowing right at me as Im trying to hold my breath hoping they hurry and turn the 15sec board. Its not a problem anymore.
