I saw them 12-13 years ago in Portland and they were great. No security, so the crowd was stage diving and singing into the mics all night. We had to drive 2.5hrs to see the Crowbar/EHG show a little while back cause the local show was 21+. I've been hooked on metal shows ever since seeing Anthrax and Primus back...

Will do! DRI just came to town, but they played at Aces which is 21+ so we couldn’t see them. We will make it happen some day.

Haven’t seen Gwar since Brockie died, I’m sure they are still great shows, caught a few on YouTube and they look just as incredible. Jealous man, enjoy the show with your boy!!

Hell yeah. Me and my 19 y/o hit every metal show in the region that we can. Getting tickets for Gwar and Dying Fetus tomorrow. Tell the kid I like his DRI shirt.

I'm 8hrs away, but I still go every couple years. It's too awesome not to! If you do ride the Sawtooth and WC's be sure to get the Bill Dart maps. He labels the difficulty of the trails, so you can put an appropriate loop together. His maps do not cover the trails in the big holes though, so I'd...

Big boy riding, for sure. West of the reservoir and west of Driggs have lots of motorized use trails. Can be snow until late July and expect lots of blow down until the local yokels clear the trails. If you're driving that far you should also go ride the Sawtooth NF and White Cloud Mtns. Trip of a lifetime!

I had an 09 wr300 for a few years and it was a great bike. I tried to improve upon it by adding a pro circuit pipe and Keihin PWK38 carb, but could never get it to run right afterwards. Anyway, 2010 is the first year of the Ducati digital ignitions and they were notorious pieces of shit, so that...

I'm riding technical trails in the N Rockies and swear by MX53 front and rear. I'm very easy on tires and got 90hrs from a rear tire and front still has plenty of life left. This is on a 350xcf w/ rekluse and twisted vortex in map 2 (traction map). They're not cheap, but they work very well in hard...

If you're using ethanol fuel then replace both fuel filters. Then check the cold start knob under the throttle body (mine was too far in causing a rich condition). Then it's time to spend some money.....vortex & rekluse

WP linkage shocks get bled just like any Japanese shock. It's the PDS shocks that have 2 pistons and are in pain to get a good bleed on without a machine. I bleed my WP linkage shocks like normal and then finish it off with the bleed cup. Works great.

Last time I was there a dude from NJ paid for the whole enchilada and could barely ride a bike. He about had a heart attack half way up the first trail of the day, so he got guided back early and ended up spending the whole weekend drunk. So did everyone else, but at least they got to ride...
Nice report OP. How did you like the pull up to the top of packsaddle? And did you come down the back side with the intense view of the lake? The lodge is now only open to people booking an all-inclusive package like the OP did. So no more Friday night rides from Bunco to the lodge for prime rib...

You've got multiple options in WA (https://nmaoffroad.org/nma-series-schedules/). The Goldendale races are long (30+min laps) GP style courses that are unique and fun. The most fun I've ever had racing was the 6hr team race at Eddieville. Avoid if it rains though. Randall and Rimrock are in the Cascades, so those will be in the trees. I hear the Rimrock race...
