This is pretty awesome for the sport, the GOAT will be there. Maybe Dangerboy or maybe Jeremy McGrath. I don’t know, but they would have past and present riders. I know it’s a bit gimmicky but I still think it’s cool for the sport. These guys aren’t getting any younger but they are willing to do it for the sport. Even at their age.

I read on here recently some folks are getting fed up of long series with a rider seemingly wrapping things up early, dropping rounds to make thing stay interesting etc But how about creating a further champion within the 2 series? A big brand like monster, red bull, etc could offer up a win purse for any rider who can get 2 or maybe 3 overall wins in their opposite series. Pay a certain amount to win the round, then an extra incentive to go 1-1 Perhaps a super mega cross title could be thought of for the achievement by...

Can we just acknowledge how fucking badass this is the MXGP points leaders are coming over to race? Fucking A, man!! What an amazing storyline. I expect Sasha to win. The only reason he wont will be culture shock from the lack of track time. He was visually the fastest 250 rider at Ironman. Faster than DeWolf IMO

One thing I can say about Lucas.. I've never seen anyone else being able to push a healthy Herlings this hard for wins (because usually he isn't beatable when healthy and on). This is as exciting as it gets, can't wait for Southwick specially I expect Lucas to race smart and I expect Sacha do absolutely die out there for a win 😂

Hard no on Ruts=fun. Agree on turns and jumps. I’ll take nice fluffy berms and straights you can move around on every time. The ripped deep, flooded track prep that turns into a rut fest is one of the worst changes I’ve seen in the sport.

My buddy made a great point about the tracks and insurance issues too. If the tracks were more forgiving and built for the 99% instead of the 1%, the injuries would be so much less severe and much less frequent: if kids weren’t cracking their skulls open and breaking femurs on a weekly basis insurance wouldn’t be the issue it is.

It’s not as bad as you’re thinking. Instead of sprinting wide open , you’d be able to ease into the moto, learn the lines, plan your passes, and ride in a way that moto is intended for.

Unfortunately the answer is already an option and people won’t adopt it until it’s too late… E-bike tracks in industrial zone areas in/near the city would bring our sport back.
