wreckers Started a new thread Track build
12/4/2018 7:09pm Hi, I am looking to build a track and am looking for some info on jump distances, face angles etc. What would be good table top distance 2nd 3rd 4th gear on a 450? How far are whoops spaced apart? How do builders go about safely designing a track? I'm sure there is maths involved? Lots of respect to the...

12/3/2018 4:46pm I've built a few including my own over the years. Their is definitely an art & science to it. Being able to operate is only part of the equation. When I go to tracks and see an obstacle I like I usually pace/measure it off. I built a replica of Washougals whoops at our track with some tweaks. Ours are actually a bit bigger. Outdoor whoops are average of 16' apart and 2 1/2"' high +/-. You can rhythm or pound through our set which makes for good practice. Landings are hugely overlooked in track building. Big rounded landings make...

9/15/2018 7:55pm I'm sure they'll make it to the track a couple times before the tires blow out.. It's a bitch to get them to line up straight too. I think the wagon is a worthy investment you can store your bike in it so your living room doesn't smell like gas, stick it in your parking spot and park the Prius...

9/15/2018 7:44pm You got to buy a "yuppie wagon" literally anything will pull it. You really don't want to buy one of those junk pot metal harbor freight trailers that bolts together with 12" rims and won't even track straight trust me...

Has anyone tried the new rxf fork? They look great are pretty reasonably priced. Do they perform? I have heard that changes made need to go by a ohlins specific "chart". Does ohlins have good customer support? Will they supply the valve stack charts? Are they nitrogen charged cc forks? Thanks

9/14/2018 11:04am Read up on your contractual obligations with your insurance. There is often some kind of clause about "life- or limb-threatening" injuries treated in an out-of-network hospital. I'm assuming that since you spent 3 days at the other hospital it wasn't just a broken ankle. If it's in writing, you deserve to be treated until stabilized, then transferred back in-network. Also, talk to a patient advocate at the hospital. They may be able to help you with this process. I have a feeling that since you have met your max out of pocket, you can force your insurance to pay the...

9/14/2018 10:50am For sure go to the hospital with a good attitude and speak to them in person, if they won't help you I'd spend that money on a laywer.
Yea I don't just buy things without knowing what I'm getting. Did all you guys buy these forks without having any knowledge about what's going on inside, or what makes it better? I just want to make sure that the damping rod is only 8mm? Does anyone know? I have been told that 8mm simply can not provide enough base...

Hi thanks for the prices, im curious what you learned in the factory? What do you mean no expense is spared? Can you tell me what parts of the fork are considered superior? How is this product tested/developed? Why this fork is better than the competition or revalve? How is this fork pressurized and serviced? Do I need any ohlins...

9/12/2018 10:41am Herlings bars are pretty straight at the ends of the bars. I’m not really sure why anyone would use bars that are swept back!

9/11/2018 5:32pm Can someone tell me the difference comparing the fat bar to the one with the crossbar that Jeffrey herlings runs? I think it's a twin wall? Is it stiffer than oem Ktm fat bar with that cross support or something?
