He thought it was pretty funny and said now he had seen it all.
I always take the back roads or less traveled highways? I would not go on I4 with my Mazda and trailer with a dirtbike??

i have a stupid little chevy cruze for work, In so cal we drive a lot and sold my silverado when my wife started nursing school (she's done in dec thank god) When i took my son to the track i just towed a little light tractor supply trailer and it was no biggie other then feeling like a douche towing it with a car. Thank god my windows are super dark!

You got to buy a "yuppie wagon" literally anything will pull it. You really don't want to buy one of those junk pot metal harbor freight trailers that bolts together with 12" rims and won't even track straight trust me...

I see those junk trailers at the track every weekend. It's all about getting to the track so you can do what you love to do. ...not having the nicest trailer you can buy.

Yeah do not get a hitch hauler for a car. It's not that the car can't haul it it's the fact it would be scraping everything on the road. Get a small rail trailer and it will pull that no problem at all. If you don't have a lot of space leave the fenders off of it and you can turn the trailer up on its side to store it. I have only hailed with a car and have kept my trailer in the smallest storage space it will fit.

I'm sure they'll make it to the track a couple times before the tires blow out.. It's a bitch to get them to line up straight too.

I think the wagon is a worthy investment you can store your bike in it so your living room doesn't smell like gas, stick it in your parking spot and park the Prius on the street. Thats what I did living in the city but to each his own I guess.

If you were riding the FTR motocross and hare scramble series in the early to mid 2000’s, you may have seen my dad and I in a white Honda Accord pulling a 3 rail trailer down I4 many of times! We made it work for a couple of years until we could afford a better set up.

Which model Prius are you considering getting? The Prius V is the biggest one, but also the most expensive.

Don't even consider getting the first generation Prius.

The second generation onward are ok.

The Camry hybrid is significantly more comfortable and will have a bigger engine.

Depending on how old a car you buy you'll want to at least be aware of how to maintain and rebuild the hybrid battery yourself.

If you buy a Toyota, particularly a hybrid then you'll want to buy a VCX cable straight away. You'll use that with Toyota's Techstream software to check and clear diagnostic codes, turn on and off various car functions and monitor the health of the hybrid battery.

Ideally, you would also buy a Prolong charger and discharger kit from Hybrid Automotive. You'll want to discharge and charge the hybrid battery back a couple of times a year to help keep the modules balanced (ie same voltage across them all). Once a module (28 of them in a Prius, 34 in a Camry) goes significantly out of balance the hybrid battery pack will stop working. https://hybridautomotive.com/collections/store

They're a soulless, boring car to drive... but once you've gotten used to the lower fuel costs you'll be hooked and have a hard time going back to a normal car.

NEVER buy a Honda hybrid. Unless it's for your mother-in-law and you want to prevent her from coming over.

The Honda hybrid battery can't be rebuilt. Gotta buy a new one. Too expensive, so the car goes straight to the wrecking yard.

The Toyota hybrid batteries are relatively easy to rebuild.

Lots of bolt on class 1 hitches available for your Prius. I was at Perris Raceway yesterday and my riding buddy showed up in a Prius with a trailer. He said it works just fine.

But if you can, I'd definitely try to fab up a class iii for that thing. I don't know about all the crazy spring/lift talk, most people would just stick a couple airbags in there.

I think the difference is made the other 95% of the time when you aren't towing a trailer.
