People will often down vote because of the emotional reaction to the story and not necessarily because they disagree with the post itself (I hope that’s the case here any way). It’s why these up-and-down voting systems are so stupid to begin with. They convolute sentiment. It’s a shitty story with a shitty outcome. It deserves a thumbs down. Aidan’s parents definitely deserve a thumbs up for continuing to push for answers. They deserve a hug, and their son back. Hopefully some good can come from this.

He'll be with Honda next year. Which is good, I think a move back to PC would be a step backwards, more time wasted getting used to a bike just when he's starting to look really good on the Honda.

There may be a lot of viewership, but how many of those spectators actually participate at the local level? When I got into the sport in the mid-90's I thought that was peak MX/SX/AX, but that's also when I was paying attention the most. Local tracks raced every weekend, rain or shine. Now we're lucky to get one practice day every two weeks at the same tracks. I know insurance, attendance, etc. plays a major factor. The big show is growing while the little show is dying. It'll eventually all come full circle.

I've lived in Florida (the gunshine state) my whole life and am a responsible gun advocate. I'm bothered that one of the biggest talents in our sport and "influencer" to many youths is making content like this. I want dirt bikes and people who ride them to be thought of as responsible and welcomed by the general public, not looked as wannabe thugs, joking or not. It's a bad look, regardless of intent or if you get any amusement out of it.

You can't imagine his sponsors being bothered by a guy who gets arrested, tells the fans to "suck it" and shows off a pistol in his social media? You can't imagine a parent whos young child follows Haiden being bothered by this?

Having read all the posts here i can say i wil not be buying a Triumph for a least another 3 years now. & if these problems persist i wont ever own one. KTM has always been fantastic with sorting issues iv had in the past. A new bike is too much money for it to give these sorts of problems. Plus mx is dangerous enough without having shift & false neutral problems. Triumph, in business your reputation is everything!

Triumph rep- “Throw a few whips on this bike for our photographer and we’ll cut you a fat check and give you free Tigers for life.” Zero chance Ricky was burning 5 gallons a day production bike testing.

When I worked at a dealer, we would sometimes eat repairs that we felt should be under warranty if it's a good customer, and pester the rep to get it paid for. That was for the odd failure though, not necessarily a known defect that's going to keep repeating.

Not exactly how that works, dealers do not just invoice manufcaturers and fix a bunch of things because they want to, but yes, very different since the car has a warranty. I am not suggesting Triumph should not take some ownership here, but they do not have to. Competition use bikes do not carry a warranty.

Replacing the bad parts with the exact same bad parts won't really help long term. They need to come out with updated parts before they start fixing them. I hope they step up and help the customers.
