Just some perspective to this thread. I rode a new 2024 CRF 250F yesterday back to back with my '23 MC 350 on a really rough, slick, rutted track. I was impressed with the bottom end of the CRF. I could pull 3rd gear in some of the faster corners. It handled really well and felt a lot lighter than my 350 even though it really isn't. Only real complaint was the forks felt harsh and stiff but it was bone stock stuff and I didn't make any adjustments. Ergos were very good, especially for a taller guy (6'1). I...

4/4/2024 7:03am I know I'll have to have the suspension done for my weight. I'm 6'2" 225 so the stock springs will be changed. So you do not feel cramped on the Honda? I'm coming off a 2022 KTM 450 and I hated it. I felt so cramped on the bike that I was never able to get comfortable riding it.

4/3/2024 1:46pm 2024 Honda CRF450R - $9,019 plus sales tax. $9,801 OTD in TN. Tennessee sales tax sucks. I'm torn between a 2024 KX450 and a 2024 CRF450R. The resale and reliability of the KX is what has me leaning towards the Honda.

Depending on the program at the time the dealer can use it how they choose. It could be model specific only and not apply to all units. A manufacturer to dealer rebate/incentive could be going on...

2/27/2024 1:16pm As much as I would like to purchase from my local dealers, I cannot justify spending the crazy fees they tack on. I can drive 2 or 3 hours and save a couple of thousand.

Actual plain bearing, like conrods in a car engine. KTM uses plain bearing with no thrust washers, same as that KX crank. Plain bearings, of course, rely solely on oil pressure and the oil film on the bearing. It appears Brent's bike lost all oil pressure when the pump gear broke so the conrod bearing quickly overheated and seized.

1/16/2024 10:58am East Tennessee near the Knoxville, TN area could use a nice track. Not much around for MX. We have a nice little practice track about 45 minutes away, but that's about it unless you want to drive.

Not answering your question directly, but right or wrong, Kawasaki and Suzuki seem to lose value most rapidly. This also results in excellent deals - which may be part of your answer.

Resale always comes to mind with me, good or bad. I’m of the opinion a guy can flip a well taken care of YZF, same for a Honda but to a slightly lesser extent. I’m not a KTM guy but I’d bet a guy could flip one too, same for Husqvarna, not as much for Gas Gas if I had to guess. Green bikes and Yellow bikes have always had lessor value. I’d guess the value of Kawasaki has came up some in last few years. Went down more for yellow bikes. I’d hate to be sitting on a late...

1/2/2024 8:42am I notice the same here in my area. The low hour YZ450F, CRF450R, and 450SX-F seem to hold their value much better than the Kaw or Suz. The KX and RMZ do not sell well used. You have to give them away to move it down the road.
