Vols Added a reply to KTM Rebates?

3/28/2024 10:53am
The OEM can and often does if inventory needs to move is offer rebates to their dealers that are not advertised to the public. Depending on the program at the time the dealer can use it how they choose. It could be model specific only and not apply to all units. A manufacturer to dealer rebate/incentive could be going on...

As much as I would like to purchase from my local dealers, I cannot justify spending the crazy fees they tack on. I can drive 2 or 3 hours and save a couple of thousand.

Actual plain bearing, like conrods in a car engine. KTM uses plain bearing with no thrust washers, same as that KX crank. Plain bearings, of course, rely solely on oil pressure and the oil film on the bearing. It appears Brent's bike lost all oil pressure when the pump gear broke so the conrod bearing quickly overheated and seized.

He is literally NOT a kid...he's 20 years old. Soldiers are 18 years old and somehow manage to conduct themselves accordingly. Getting real sick of the age excuse

Vols Added a reply to What region is most in need of new tracks ?

East Tennessee near the Knoxville, TN area could use a nice track. Not much around for MX. We have a nice little practice track about 45 minutes away, but that's about it unless you want to drive.
Not answering your question directly, but right or wrong, Kawasaki and Suzuki seem to lose value most rapidly. This also results in excellent deals - which may be part of your answer.

Resale always comes to mind with me, good or bad. I’m of the opinion a guy can flip a well taken care of YZF, same for a Honda but to a slightly lesser extent. I’m not a KTM guy but I’d bet a guy could flip one too, same for Husqvarna, not as much for Gas Gas if I had to guess. Green bikes and Yellow bikes have always had lessor value. I’d guess the value of Kawasaki has came up some in last few years. Went down more for yellow bikes. I’d hate to be sitting on a late...

Used Austrian bikes and 125 2-strokes go quickly and get crazy numbers here.

What model would you have on your short list if resale is major factor after year or two? It's a dirt bike so I'm aware they all lose money but some absolutely tank in value or they are just impossible to move unless you give it away.

The new KTM chassis is a little better for taller guys than the older one was. The newer YZ body/seat (2022+) is also better for taller guys than the older one was.

I'm considering picking up a new YZ250 or 250 SX. Which one is more comfortable for a taller rider (6'2")? I was never able to get very comfortable on my 2022 KTM 450 so if the new KTM chassis is not any roomier than the 22 I'll probably snag a new YZ.

I noticed that as well. The first thing that came to mind was not drugs but that he is possibly on the spectrum with autism. It is very difficult for someone with autism to maintain eye contact. Even if it's very mild. It could also explain some of his erratic decisions and behavior that everyone is assuming is caused by...
