I guess Marshal was right against the yellow track markers, and Politelli went inside of the track markers. That's just what I hear.

Curb weight is with gas, and the 08 had a half gallon bigger tank.

I read as many reviews as I could when I was looking for a newer bike a couple of years ago. I didn't know it I wanted an 08 or 09. Everything I read put the dry weight of the 08 2 lbs lighter than that of the 09. So don't worry I double and triple checked that statement.

The 08 weighs less than the 09... Anyway I've rode an 08 and a 12 and would have to say I like the 12 in the corners more, but would prefer the 08 everywhere else. The 08 definitely feels more comfortable in the air. I guess if I was looking for a Honda 450 I wouldn't be too picky on...

Good one, except my 08 Honda is 229 pounds and 48 horse so it has a better weight to power ratio than a cr 144. Real cool taking my joke that is supposed to make the guy feel good about buying a junky Yamaha and ruining it.

Everything I can find for 2009 models puts the Honda about 2 pounds less when ready to ride. The lightest 450s to date were the 2007 and 2008 Hondas.

I'm disappointed if it's true, but I think that it is a smart decision. Recently it seems like the crash to landing successfully ratio is way off. I like to see incredible tricks just as much as the next guy, but a good old fashioned whip is just as cool and a lot more likely to be landed.
