Last autumn I had chance spend time with head engineer for Honda offroad line and he is motocross guy to the bone and really knows his stuff. He also told that Honda is putting more effort and funds to racing and R&D compared to three years ago, so they are not planning to give up moto. Even though Honda's contingency program isn't the best, there seems to be plenty of Hondas in both Supercross classes, so privateers are willing to pay to ride red.

Most of us could drop a couple of inches off our waists, buy lighter riding gear (boots) and have a lighter total package.Cool

10 out of 20 that qualified for the 250 Indy main, if you're counting...

Haha, yeah. The 09 yz would be lighter than the 13 Honda. But as that highsider fella implied, just a couple of pounds really isn't going to make a difference for most riders. Go ahead and buy that Yamaha, but make sure you use the bathroom before you ride and you'll weigh the same overall as if you bought a Honda.

And the 2013 YZ250 is on E-bay new for $6695 with no improvements for years and the newly redesigned CRF 450 is being sold at a loss @ $7498. Why is that?
I went to the local Yamaha dealer and asked to see a YZ 250 2T and was told there are none available, but then they tried to sell me a left over 4S, as if...
$7498 is not a loss...this month

207 pounds aint that much difference. Buy any 450 and go use the bathroom 41 times and you'll have the same overall weight!

I would kill for a cr144

Good one, except my 08 Honda is 229 pounds and 48 horse so it has a better weight to power ratio than a cr 144.

Real cool taking my joke that is supposed to make the guy feel good about buying a junky Yamaha and ruining it.

If your Honda is 229lbs, that is great, but it won't run too well with no coolant, gas, or oil.

I have a helium filled frame so it makes up for the fluids, duh.
