I used to fly A-4s/T-45s then I flew 737s doing mostly domestic high altitude chem trail delivery until recently. Now I’m riding my Husky more. I ride PaxTrax, Orlando MX and MotoBros here in Florida. I was sad to see Canyon MX shutdown in PHX. I used to fly out to AZ and ride in the OTMX international vet race there each year.

UPDATE: Mum is really impressing everyone from the nurses, speech pathologists, PT/OTs, nutritionist, and most importantly, the doctor! You cannot begin to imagine how stoked I am on the progress she has made (it dipped a bit from the transfer on Saturday) and today was unbelievable! She’s now going from purée to “mince” and the NG tube should be completely gone by next week. She has been getting pretty severe cramps in her foot but we’re working to get that sorted. UPDATE: Mum was still a bit “off” during my morning/afternoon visit but way better during the afternoon/evening visit. The doctor came and checked on her and was really lovely and positive, It was during her lunch and when he saw that she was feeding herself (I load the spoon and she does the rest) he said “Oh! Okay.”. He spoke to mum in such a gentle and kind manner and gave off a really good energy. A big problem is most modern tracks are built on flat land and truck in dirt to create the track. This lends it's self to a more SX type track as you can't do much else than build jumps. A natural terrain track offers more diversity of natural obstacles that keep it from getting too fast while still being challenging enough to excite the average rider. I'm old but i still like big jumps and going fast just not into taking a hospital trip cos I missed something due to a minor mistake. I don't want to have to ride...

On a positive note our grandson and the 7 year old neighbor kid we invited (who just got his first bike and was at his first MX race of any kind) had an absolute blast. Walking around for 3 hours after the race was over was just an extra added bonus for them. Traffic is always bad leaving the venue. Everyone is leaving at the same time. This is difficult to solve without widening the 76. The first year the national was at Pala was just as bad. I told one of the workers that they need to fix this. He said the problem was that there were just too many cars. I don't buy it. There are 3 routes feeding the parking lot. One from the east, one from the west, and a route coming from Temecula that feeds into the 76 not far from the track. It shouldn't take that long...

The last time I went to Pala for the National it took 2 hours+ to move like 40 feet while trying to exit the parking lot. I figured the only way I’d go back would be if I was camping or just left 5-10 minutes after the 2nd 450 moto started. With the price increases and fees, 2 hour drive from Hollywood, nightmare parking situation afterwards, etc. I decided to do 40 miles on my bike this morning and watch the race on Peacock while recovering from almost dying on the 40-mile bike ride, lol.

Making the Pala 250 fast 40 is really hard. Every year good riders don't make the cut. Riding B timed qualifiers is a killer because the track is so heavy.

Aden was well into the show on timed session 1 combined, around 20th. His clutch had an issue in session 2 and cost him putting in a laptime, the session was much better than the first so he was bumped to the LCQ. Crashed in the first turn, got up and passed over 20 people in four laps. Shit happens. There's your truth. Another piece of truth, you're being an internet dick right now.

I’m going to keep doing this for a bit, then work on her doing it all. She’s now allowed to drink normal fluids (they have thickened drinks just incase swallowing too much causes problems) and can drink from a cup or through a straw. It’s Deegan’s first 450 MX race. I’m not saying he will beat Jett in the future, because Jett is phenomenal, but Deegan does look really, really good out there.

He was P20 in Q1 and then had clutch issues in Q2. During the LCQ, he crashed in the first turn. Give the kid a fucking break.
