stormlakeax Started a new thread RIP GPS George
1/27/2012 5:29am I just received the sad news that GPS Racing's George Hodkinson died yesterday of a heart attack. He was only 38 years old. George was a great guy. I always told him his heart was bigger than his brain and that would get him laughing. He was a fixture in Arenacross and to some degree, SX and outdoor nationals, helping...

stormlakeax Started a new thread 30-man mains...
1/24/2012 8:10am ...when did Daytona go back to 20 bikes in the main? I know it's been awhile, that was a cool deal for privateers to sneak into a main and score a few points.

5/9/2010 7:56am Anybody catch Ralph's "BAR-to-BAR!!!" comment when Hansen and Wilson were going at it on the last lap?
stormlakeax Added a reply to Cunningham 250 or 450 tonight??
5/8/2010 2:12pm 32 Kyle B Cunningham Fort Worth, TX Yamaha YZ450F ValliMotorsportsRockstarYamaha looks like the big bike!
stormlakeax Added a reply to GEICO Honda a little short on riders for tonight
5/8/2010 1:46pm Darn. Hahn not riding either I hear. Bummer for the red riders. Do they fill slots by "quick-inviting" other riders or how does the whole shoot out thing work?
stormlakeax Added a reply to Trailer question
5/8/2010 9:07am Great advice! I've had flats but still been able to go far enough to change it safely at a rest area or the next exit. I once blew two on one trip and got home on three wheels. Dual axle life saver.
stormlakeax Added a reply to Trailer question
5/8/2010 7:24am For what it's worth, if you plan to travel quite a bit, especially long hauls, look into an aluminum trailer over steel. I wish I had purchased a featherlite or similar. That will definitely be my next trailer, just so much easier to tow and mpg, holy moly!

4/4/2010 3:05pm Thanks for the Easter present, Bobby! Good stuff.
stormlakeax Added a reply to AJ Catanzaro
3/29/2010 7:12pm Nice work AJ! It was great to race with you and Dano all season. Class acts all the way around. Talking to Josh and understanding the rules as they are, I think AJ is too young to get a pro license, so the outdoor nats are gonna have to wait, unfortunately. No matter, his time will come, he's only 16...
stormlakeax Added a reply to is race tech tuned suspension any good?
3/27/2010 10:29am I could not agree more. We played with settings all season long in AX. I think we got it right just in time for the end of the series!! But we were only off by a couple clicks here and some high speed there, made a big difference all at once, it was like the light just went on!
stormlakeax Added a reply to is race tech tuned suspension any good?
3/27/2010 10:15am CamP's posts, for example, are all relevent and added knowledge. The level of stupid in this thread no different than any other. To stay on topic, the first money spent on a bike, IMO, should be suspension rather than motor. To what level, there are so many factors that will decide that. It might just be that $2 screw driver...
stormlakeax Added a reply to Congrats to Dano Aulsaybrook for winning the Arenacross lites title
3/21/2010 4:08pm Definitely big thumbs up to Dano and the team. He picked a good time to tweak his ankle....during the West rounds! The GPF team is first class, we've raced 'em hard every week. Josh's other rider, AJ Catanzaro may lock up another title for them next week in Denver. See you there and congrats again, Dano.

stormlakeax Added a reply to Tracks Along The Interstate
3/20/2010 3:59pm You may be thinking of North Platte, Nebraska. They had a track literally right on I-80, on the south side. Norfolk is about 100 miles north of I-80. I don't think North Platte races anymore, but they had a good series going for years, the CMC (Cornhusker Motocross Circuit) with a track in McCook, NE that has hosted Ponca qualifiers...

3/20/2010 9:13am I had to mute the TV so I could "hear" it. "I'd like to thank my electrician, Sparky Die-Hard for getting this bike set up for me..."
stormlakeax Added a reply to Dean Wilson
3/20/2010 9:05am Let the finger-pointing begin as to who should own this....bottom line is one of the guys who makes the east Lites exciting won't be there tonight. Bummer. No one feels as bad as Dean Wilson himself right now, I'll bet.
