Congrat's on wrapping up the 2010 AX Lites West championship!!
All of us here in New England are proud of you AJ, it has been great watching you racing and progressing through the sport all these years.
I know your dad must be bursting with pride.
Big props to the GPF/Babbits team for taking a chance on AJ along with all of the sponsors that have been behind this kid.

is he racing outdoors?
Congrats AJ!
I think he is to young to do the outdoors this year with the rule change. Could be wrong though.
The Shop
Some of it may depend on the ride that is available, I don't know if GPF\Babbits team is running outdoors.
It would be awesome to see AJ and his team mate Dano who won the East Coast Lites title out there for the nationals.
It also depends on where he is with the rule change as suzrider92 mentioned.
I'm so happy for them, they really deserve it.
Talking to Josh and understanding the rules as they are, I think AJ is too young to get a pro license, so the outdoor nats are gonna have to wait, unfortunately.
No matter, his time will come, he's only 16. Nice to meet the whole fam in San Antonio too.
The whole family has been pitching in and helping them to keep going...aunts uncles cousins.....just a blue collar family working towards a dream.
Nice polite kid and a dad who absolutely would give it all for his son.
I have been watching this kid race since he was on a Polini, it really makes me happy to see this.
About 10-12 years ago, I was working at a ski resort outside of Pittsburgh (Seven Springs) and I remember there was a little kid that used to attend the ski shool there named AJ Catanzaro. For some reason, I thought his family was from CT but they had relatives in the western PA area they would visit.
He has a name that isn't easily forgotten and when I started seeing this name show up in the amateur results a few years ago, I wondered if it was the same AJ. If so, tell him that the Seven Springs crew is proud of his accomplishments!
JND, wouldn't you say that maybe it would be on his moms side if anything. Catanzaro is a true name from the italian host city of Middletown CT where his family is from. (Oddly enough where Jimmy Ellis was born and if I'm not mistaken, John Finkelday also.)
So he has some really big moto-shoe to fill out there.
Maybe it was him.
IntenseRider;
I know they grew up just down the road from a ski place in Middlefield, right down the road from Middletown I'll have to ask if they have family in PA.
If it is him I'll pass along the congrats.
Think you are right about Finkelday Sonny but I'm not sure.
You guys would actually be surprised at how popular a name Catanzaro is......63 listed in CT alone....lol.
