Not sure how you guys are determining that bike is "beat as fuck". Other than some worn off graphics and a rim sticker what are you seeing? It's a practice/test bike that gets tons of laps pounded on it out of the public eye. What do you expect it to look like?

I am a big proponent of the KX100 with a heavy flywheel weight for newer riders. Lighter, way better suspension, manageable power. Both of those 4 strokes are heavy with primitive suspension in comparison. The KLX140 in particular is a real pig. I haven't yet seen a 12 year old that didn't start looking for jumps to hit within a few weeks and the KX100 will give him room to expand his skills. Our MX Tech National Shock arrived today. This is a thing of beauty and very well made; definitely “A-Kit” quality, arguably better. Cut the muffler 4” shorter and put the end cap back on. I did this on a 2013 and it looked great. No noticeable change in sound or performance.
