PNWMXer Liked a reply to forum topic Arrogance or confidence?
3/25/2026 5:30am I believe that in order to reach the absolute top of any field, motorsports in particular, one must be supremely confident, bordering on arrogant. There’s no other way to convince your brain’s self-preservation department that going that fast on your chosen form of track is reasonable. That said, I have always favored the “walk softly and carry a big stick” personality of letting your riding/driving do the talking. I don’t like openly arrogant people, regardless of what they do.

3/24/2026 6:36am I don't know who these folks are, but I looked at their site and I'd bet that they ran into some copyright issues. I sincerely doubt they had licensing rights to any of the stuff they have for sale.

3/17/2026 7:10pm I generally through the layouts were cool. That said, it seemed like the dragstrip tracks had concrete walls everywhere that weren't really covered up. Seemed like those were dangerous af.

3/16/2026 3:25pm I was initially up on the mobius braces, but I've now ruled them out due to the lack of ventilation. Really leaning toward the pods at this point.

3/16/2026 3:23pm I have been tall and skinny my entire life. I busted ass outside and worked in the gym for years and would max out the leg press machine. My legs are the same size now as they were then, just less defined.

3/15/2026 7:30pm motorick5052, Non Moto has had thousands of threads criticizing politicians and media personalities. But criticism of Hegseth is where the effort to shut down the thread shows up? Why is that?

3/15/2026 3:15am Yes, I agree on mobius ! Very good brace👍 Stay away from Astrisk, I have a pair of the latest carbon. I found them to be uncomfortable, the fit feels cheap and not very protective. Also, the hyper extension clips refused to stay in place, they popped out on every ride. I tried to glue them in place and they still popped out, I got no help from Astrisk on the issue...at all. Pretty much a terrible design and crappy construction. Oh, and terrible customer service.

3/14/2026 5:57am For me, Mobius braces were good, while the Pods simply fit great. The ‘ligament’ hinge design makes them feel lighter than the Mobius’, and they aren’t quite as ‘hot’ in warmer SoCal temps. The padding and back strap design of the Pods isn’t as dialed as the Mobius, but they both get the job done. If you’re in a position to try both on before buying, would definitely recommend it. Current setup are Pod K300’s with Mobius knee brace socks: 6’ and 185lb. Will update to Pod K4’s if I ever wear these K300’s out…

3/13/2026 11:18pm I agree with you that a strong knee is the best hedge against injury, but I also think that a full brace will offer more than pads. I've pretty well decided on trying braces. If I don't like riding in them then so be it, but I've come to a point where I can afford to at least try them...

3/13/2026 6:53pm I had the TP199 pads back in the day when they first came out. They fit great and I thought they provided good impact protection, but I remember them being hot af. Wasn't really a big deal when I was 16, but now that I'm older I've found that staying cool is far more important.

3/13/2026 3:10pm Quite literally just installed a tall seat on my bike last week. Have always wanted to try one and can finally afford to spend on something that may not work for me. I'll give the mobius braces a go.

3/13/2026 3:09pm I second the Mobius I am your exact size and height, just go off their site and measure and see what size they recommend. I also run a tall seat and that helps a ton with having my long legs so bent, you can run pads if you want I dont think braces prevent as many injuries and they claim but they help and I race off-road and ive gotten bashed between other bikes and against trees and its good to have. Mobius on amazon have some great prices right now as well under $500

3/13/2026 3:09pm Get the Mobius in size M.....i too suffered from legs of a chicken at one point and the Mobius is the best bang for the buck. They fit snug and have a good system to tighten everything. I have custom CTI braces but i prefer the Mobius. You can also get the EVS Travis Pastrana or Axel Hodges pads/ braces. Those are decent if you want some extra knee support. They don't have hard stops to keep your knee from going past the crunchy zone/ broken femur zone.

3/12/2026 6:20pm I've had a pair of Leatt Dual Axis knee guards for 7-8 years now and need to replace them because the straps have stretched out too far. I'm 6'2" 185 and 100% have "chicken legs." I'm riding moto open practices exclusively these days. Looking to see if anyone has a similar build and experience with knee brace brands. Really don't...

3/9/2026 7:22pm We've got a lot of time on the TBI 125's. Big believer in the TSP stuff here. We use the TSP ERM Mapping & 12degree Piston & Insert on our 25 125SX and will for '26. The kiddo was able to rip a couple holeshots at the LL regional and qualify for Loretta's in 125C. Granted it's only the C class, but there's a lot of talented rippers at the regional / national level on the gate. The bike proved fast enough to rip great starts against a gate full of petcocks & carbs. He also ripped a bunch of...

3/8/2026 9:27pm The mapping from 23/24 to the 25 was the major change. From what I've read, it was a significant improvement. I'm not aware that there were any other significant changes.

3/7/2026 3:34pm In September, I met a kid at the local track had a modified 2024 or 2025 TC125. He was absolutely ripping on the thing. I could tell from the sound it was fuel injected. I asked him about the bike and he told me it was fully worked over (ported, remapped, pipe, etc). He said it wasn't as good as some tuned carbureted bikes he's ridden, but that it was pretty good. I specifically asked him about top end and over-rev power and he said that was where it lacked. I think he told me who did the engine mods...
