Maybe Doug Henry winning the 1998 MX Championship after breaking his back in 1995, and both arms in 1997. There is an endearing picture of Doug walking over to the fence and kneeling down asking a fan to remove his helmet for him (both arms were broken). When he won the title in `98, it was a pretty big deal.

New England legend Bob Hicks passed away yesterday at age 96. He was one of the founders of both the NESC motocross race series and the NETRA trail series that operate through New England. He was also the founder of Trail Rider Magazine among many other accomplishments in the sport. He probably did more for dirt biking in New England than anyone else in the history of motorcycles. Just thought I’d share to pay respect as a fellow New England dirt biker.

I also grew up in CT and agree with you. But I would say it’s American s that have been getting screwed. America and the elites that own this country have sold us out. The democrats and republicans all the way down the line have gutted our country in order to enrich themselves and destroy the middle class.
