btw…an equal crime of a restart was a couple of years ago at Daytona SX. Mcadoo has that gnarly rag doll foot caught on the bike body slam crash. Had he got up he would have been basically a lap down but understandably lays there. Causes red flag. Then decides he wants to be in the restart. Initially told no but persuades med to re-check him. Gets okayed. Wins the race. People talked about how tough he was to accomplish it, and he was, but he blew the race in a major way and got a mulligan for himself. Not...

What do you mean by it's too hard and time consuming to reconstruct the running order? They have to give the gate picks by the running order anyway so they're accomplishing the new running order already.

(However im not hitting supercross level obstacles either) but i find that area to be the most comfortable and controlling on the bike

I most definitely ride on the balls of my feet and not arches. I do not ride on my toes though. Some of the top level pros are riding on their toes, not the balls of their feet. In the last 12 months we have had 3 pro level 450 riders with torn Achilles tendons. Tomac, Rodbell, and Friese. The only one we have video of is Tomac. Isn't an SMX championship going to be its own singular thing, i.e. not one per MX and SX championship? Bit rich to not only claim to be champion of something that didn't exist before this year, but double dipping on the amount that he would have been eligible for if they did exist.

Passion and heart. Kids got it in spades. I got no problem with what he did....kid was in the title hunt...totally understandable. It'd be different if he was a 20th place non-contender. I love the audio....the drunk "fan" yelling on the side of the track calling Deegan a "baby". Many MX/SX "fans" of this sport are fitting for the thread title: "Not a great look".

I don’t ride anymore but watching so many perfect whips on TikTok or Instagram got me thinking. For those of you who are skilled at this basically routine maneuver for pro level riders, what was the learning process like for you? In short, did you routinely hit the deck learning to perfect this trick, or did you find an incremental yet safe sequence of attempts before you had it down? Seems to me the commitment required leaves a less skilled rider facing almost certain calamity. There have to be tons of stories out there about failed attempts on the way...
