Post Ride Update: Tires are Mita. The shape and profile are an in between mid/ soft and a sand tire. Compound is very soft. They have a Pirelli feel. Managed to burn through 3.5-4 gallons of fuel. Air filter is huge and easy to access. The intake to the carb appears to be very straight. My best friend passed away from cancer about sIx years ago and his CR500 sat on the side of his shed under a tarp for many years and it was a bit rough. I did not want it to go to some squid as it was an awesome machine that Don luved so I purchased it from his widow and restored it down to the bare frame. I know he would have approved. I know it might depend a lot on Aaron's performance, Prado's performance, and what Tomac's plans are, but as of today, do you think the fan favorite will get signed again by KTM or will he be forced to go elsewhere? If Tomac stays, Prado does well, and Plessinger does so-so, does KTM keep a 3 man team next year?

Been wondering that myself. If MotoAmerica can convince them that dressing up race bikes with luggage compartments and barn door fairings then surely we can sell them some on some Ducati dirtbikes in front of 50k people every weekend.

There’s probably someone in the C suite that has a nephew that races flat track or something along those lines. That’s the way it usually works. Edit- Just looked it up. Juan Gonzalez, CEO of Mission Foods is an enthusiast and former racer himself.

They sponsor what I assume are some more expensive motorsports series/teams. What's keeping them out of Moto? The NHRA sponsorship has to be some coin.
