3/9/2023 6:44am great idea above. Do you have any friends that work for plants that might have an in with someone who can x-ray check? Idk if you can perform that on aluminum or if itll even work but thats a path you can take.

I'm with the Sand Enjoyer here. I'd be pissed if mine ended up like that, but it may be right where it counts. (BTW, I'm pissed a lot. ) No easy way of knowing what is really happening. Maybe grind on the ugly spot a bit, and see if it's welded properly under it. I can't tell where it is, so that obviously matters.

It would be very easy to clean and do a hot pass over that but then you just assumed all liability for that and Yamaha will hang up on you when they find that out. I speak from experience. your bike your life, I’m not sure I’d ride that...

Either way, you’re looking at a portion of the weld that was a little colder than it needed to be (don’t ask why). at 7 hours I’d be looping the dealer...

Man, I can picture most posting in this thread don’t have a family or understand what kids do to you after becoming a parent. Christian and Paige are adults. Christian is not a 17 year old phenom straight out of Loretta’s trying to figure it out. He’s racing in the most stacked 450 class I can recently remember and he’s consistently in the top in practice times. He’s been getting horrible starts and finishing consistently in the top 10. His story and run for a championship last year was an amazing feel good story that he nor his family shoved...

His track record shows he should be better. He has damn near 20 top 5 results in the 450 class over his career. He's also last years 250sx champ.
