A "pro" sport shouldn't be using WADA. They really should have their own drug testing policies, rules, etc and that would rlimunste tge cold medication problem. I don't know of many others that even test for that. But. This seribg how it's run by the circus and ran like a circus, maybe it's time we stop calling it professional.

The NFL understands that sports are really only athletic entertainment and not some gift bestowed on us from the gods.

I always hear that dumb shit that they didn't "train" but I sure remember them all having trainers, and all training. People like Magoo, Donnie Hansen, etc understood they needed to train and did so. Same with the MC days. They did 45+ motos outdoors just fine and it wasn't because they didn't train or understand the "human performance" side...

California is broke for a reason. They've tried to run off as many companies as they could, and now they want to run off the people.

That last bit is what everyone has a problem with. It says, "depending on the person, we might just slap you on the wrist, or we might banish you for two years." Make it fair and say regardless, a first offense is X amount of time.

That's only because the AMA/FIM refused to write rules for what happens if rider x fails a drug test. If only an organization existed that had done that before.... Wait, the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, Cricket. If the AMA/FIM simply had it in writing that the first failed drug test is x amount of races, it's fair for everyone...

So you don't think the AMA/FIM should've already had penalties written out in case something like this happened?

I took it once in college because I was told it would allow me to study more for my final. Made me so crazy I couldn't read. My friends thst needed it would take it and be fine. Amazing the different temperaments people have.

If only we had a rule book that had these things. We wouldn't need to try and figure it out. I guess I'm fed up with everyone involved in this situation from Stewart, to WADA, USADA, AMA, AMAPRO, FIM, FELD. We have that many organizations involved with this sport and not a single one can write a drug policy.

I've said it a number of times that a penalty is needed here, but the amount of time it has taken is outrageous. I even went back and checked to make sure I did say so and wasn't going crazy. I also feel the FIM/AMA needs to re-work how it structures its drug policies, to eliminate WADA from the sport...

They gave him a TUE admitting he has ADD/ADHD. The problem is he didn't have a TUE at the time and the amount of time this has taken to hand down the penalty.

I think you need to look at each individual product and case and decide on it. If someone fails once for an over the counter medication that coukd be abused you watn them they failed and they will be under heavy monitoring/drug testing the next few months to see if it's a problem. That's the point. They lump them all together. If you fail a test for an over the counter cold medication, or an anabloic steroid, WADA views it as the same thing and the process is the same for both things. That, IMO, is a problem. Does not matter if it's something illegal like weed or legal like a cough medication...
