Yeah man I mean of course he’s American. He isn’t American born. He didn’t get his base here riding in the US. He was already an mxgp champ before coming over. That’s the only point I’m making. Dumb thread I guess haha. It’s no shade on non-American born riders. I love watching these guys. I’m just wondering where our big dogs are.

Do you think chase and Tomac would have something for the Lawrence’s? I think the results would be similar. Maybe trading 3rd/4th with deegan with an occasional better result. They both also have not stayed off the ground for a season in how long. That’s an issue and these guys are having to ride over their limit to be competitive.

Yeah where’s the up and coming? That’s what I’m wondering why we’re lacking here. All those old guys are still the fastest we got really.

So now the gap is points. It used to be +30, then +20 +10 etc. I mean objectively, Deegan is improving each week in a number of areas. Long way to go but qualifying is better, in race best lap times are improving. Lasting longer in the hunt, starts were MUCH better this weekend. I do know this, I've seen Jett and Hunter on the ground these last few weekends more than Haiden. The pace is extremely high and he seems like the only one going after it. We can all have our opinions of when of if he can...

The analogy works. Amateur soccer is accessible as you mention. But to have any chance at going pro, kids need to be fully developed and ready at 16. How can you compete with someone who has been training in Barcelona's elite program since age 6? As long as Loretta's is the way to a factory ride, parents will throw money at training to ride ruts to win the C class.

Yup. Also why on earth are 4 different people talking during one moto.

How many times per moto are we spending Katie and Will blabbering about something other then the race. Concentrate on the race going on with JT trackside. Podium interviews and the same old bs i spoke with the mechanic or truck driver between motos

I am good as long as Carmichael isn't polluting the broadcast with his irritating nasal voice and endless taking. 🤮 The broadcast is 100% better without RC and I can watch the nationals WITH the sound on.

Jo has to win this season imo. We’re on year 7 in the 250s w/o a title. Would like to see him finally get one and shift focus to moving up.

Interesting and makes me wonder if they have someone from overseas they want to bring in to fill that post. I have some experience with these kind of “work skill” visas and generally what happens is they tailor the job requirements so specifically that virtually no US citizens/permanent residents apply and of those that do apply the company can easily give reasons why those applicants don’t qualify for the position, then the overseas person they want to bring in is able to acquire the skilled visa - because the company can show they’re the only person qualified to fill that...

I feel that saying their " 450 program is based on one rider who cant win" is a bit harsh. Their one guy is in 3rd place against two riders that at this point might be the two best riders on the planet. Only so much any of the teams and riders can do against Hondas 450 program right now. The 250 program absolutely seems like a meat grinder though but they still have Davies for now.

The question isn’t whether we should or shouldn’t “ offer this particular incentive to illegal immigrants”. The question is whether or not the Constitution grants people born here citizenship. It’s clear that it does if you aren’t starting out from a position that you simply don’t like it. As I’ve said before, I would support a Constitutional Amendment to clearly exclude people born here whose parents (at least one of them) aren’t at the very least permanent residents. But based on the wording of the Constitution today, the justices seemed to get it right. I think that the wording of...

I'm old enough to remember when people were against activist judges and legislating from the bench.

I tend to agree that the constitution got it wrong. The way to correct it is to change it by statute or by amendment. I don't want any President to have the power to change the constitution at will. You may wish Trump was allowed to do this but in 12 years when AOC is President, you won't be so happy that she has this kind of power.

...why is everyone tripping out over pet insurance and equating it to some "woke" thing? I live in the Midwest and my wife's Wyoming based company offers it. It's not some new foreign concept, pets can get expensive.
