I disagree with your statement that the issue is the US season finishing too early. Eight years ago (2011) both the US nationals and MXGP series' ended on the same weekend (September 10th/11th). With the MXdN being held the very next weekend on September 18th. Since then the biggest change to either of those schedules is not the US nationals moving their end date back two weeks, it is the addition of 4-5 additional MXGP races. In 2011 (and prior) MXGP was generally a 14-15 round series. It is now increased to be about 19-20 rounds.

The US doesn’t need to boycott the MXDN, and It wouldn’t kill Kawasaki to support it. Are they really gonna lose that much money over it? It’s still has some prestige and will boost sales. But... the if they don’t send anyone, it isn’t the end of the world.

I like the team. I would much rather have 3 guys that want to go and want to win. Anderson has unfinished business there.

All good starters which is very important in MXdN. You also know the effort and pride will be there. I have never seen Anderson race an outdoors race like he did in his first MXdN. I love that he gets another shot. Proud of our men.

Its funny when you think about it.. the US riders that started the whole win thing are legends wherever they go . The original Honda Trio put together by DeCoster that came and shocked the world changed MX in a way that those who lived through it will never forget. Honda stepped up and made it happen. Kawasaki US underestimate the importance of the MXoN. And the riders that dont go remove themselves from ever being part of that elite band of riders that are prepared to stand under their flag for fans, and not for thier own bank balance.

Agreed. Hands up who gets super excited about A1? Who gets bored of SX by round 6/7? Who gets super excited about the first MXGP? Gets bored of it by round 6/7? Gets super excited about Hangtown?? There seems to be too much emphasis on simply competing and doing well at one championship these days. But the fans don't really care about championships as much as riders do. The fans want great, exciting racing and a spectacle. The MXON IMO is still by far the most anticipated and exciting race of the year. No matter what country hosts it or...
