rbabb524 Added a reply to Chase format discussion on Main Event Moto podcast
2/13/2018 5:11pm I hate the idea of a chase but at the same time I would like to see something done to keep the points closer later in the season. I think the chase is too drastic. My proposal is to drop the worst race or worst two races for each rider. This will help stop mechanical dnfs or first turn pile...

rbabb524 Added a reply to Anyone use the F-150 loading ramps?
9/23/2016 3:19pm I use one of these. Works awesome. Don't have to angle bikes. Don't have to worry about anything falling out and doesn't take up any bed space. Also it's pretty strong. I used it once to load a Harley for my friend.
rbabb524 Added a reply to Supercross, is it boring now?
3/19/2016 8:47pm I agree with you that Dungey would still win. However I want to see more movement throughout the pack. I think it is bad for racing and race craft for the riders to be able to jump any jump on track from any line through a corner. Watch the 250s and tell me it is not more exciting. They can't...
rbabb524 Added a reply to Supercross, is it boring now?
3/19/2016 7:49pm Agree. Especially with 450s being the problem. Racing is still exciting in 250 class for the most part.

3/19/2016 7:34pm Chase format is just a bandaid on a bullet wound. Either points format won't change the fact that the racing is boring. Did the top 5 change at all during that race besides Brayton?
rbabb524 Added a reply to grid start for SX (only)
3/19/2016 7:21pm That might have been one of the most boring races I have ever seen. Seems to be all to common in the 450 class.
rbabb524 Added a reply to Dirt bike riding - getting more popular? got stats?
3/16/2016 9:11am I think another big thing with minis is parents don't want there kids getting hurt. Let's face it motocross is dangerous. Even mainstream sports like football are experiencing decreasing numbers in peewees because parents don't want them playing something dangerous.
rbabb524 Added a reply to 4 stroke maintenance
1/26/2016 10:15am I have had very good luck with my 4t, except my first one which was my fault since I neglected the maintenance. It was a learning curve for me. With that said, I will never buy a used 4t from someone. I don't want to buy someone else's headache; especially since so many people sell them before the problems start.
rbabb524 Added a reply to A1 Bench Racing - Night Show
1/9/2016 9:51pm In my opinion Dungey should not have been going to the inside. There were 3 riders right in front of him. How could he expect that line to be clear. He was also not close enough to go for the pass. Definitely not intentional just a stupid move.
rbabb524 Added a reply to Beginning of direct injection?
7/1/2015 6:58pm I think the main advantage to this is that this is a trails bike not a track bike. Makes refueling on long trips easier because you can just hop on the road really quick and fill up at nearest gas station.
rbabb524 Added a reply to Eli Out for the season!
6/2/2015 7:06pm This sucks. no way he is going to be ready for sx especially if he is switching brands. I had shoulder surgery in January for a torn labrum and still can't ride for another 3 weeks minimum. I wasn't even able to drive with my left arm until about the 4 1/2 month mark. I know he will be able...
rbabb524 Added a reply to A Chase style shakeup makes sense
5/8/2015 6:04pm I would like to see a chase style for the 250s. Out of 17 races have 6 east coast, 6 west coast, then 5 combimed series. The east and west series would each have a champion like the NFL has an afc and nfc campion. (doesn't really mean shit) These series then act as a qualifier for the shootout series...
rbabb524 Added a reply to TV ratings, feels on the day race
4/27/2015 11:35am I like the idea especially for west coast rounds. To watch it live on east coast it normally is on from like 10-2am depending on where it is. Daytime shows would air live in east coast at like 7pm which would be much better. I highly doubt any casual fans stay up to watch the west coast rounds live
rbabb524 Added a reply to Are tracks in Cali going to have to cut back on watering?
4/3/2015 11:22am I don't remember where I saw this but I read somewhere that last Vegas has dropped a couple centermeters in elevation most likely due to the increase in moisture to the areA. This is causing the soil to become more dense. I also use to live there in 94 and there is alot more humidity there now than back then.
rbabb524 Added a reply to Behind the dream 10:30 am. eastern!
1/18/2015 8:19am Agreed next week does look betterm. I guess my expectations were just wrong, was hoping for more of like a live debate between the guys recapping the weekend. More of like a sports center first take or something.
rbabb524 Started a new thread supercross format
1/18/2015 8:11am I hate the gap between the 450 semis and 450 lcq. If they changed up the format I think that wasted time could be used for longer rider interviews. Instead of rushing it cause we run out of time at end. Hell they only interview the winner of the semi and don't even bother with the lcq winners. Here is...

1/18/2015 8:02am This is retarted why wasn't this aired before A1. Seems like they are just introducing the title contenders.
rbabb524 Added a reply to New Direction for MX
9/13/2014 12:17pm Motocross started as a two moto format in the early days because bikes were unreliable. Mechanical dnf's and dns's were much more common. So they made it two motos so fans had a better chance of seeing there favorite riders race at least once for the weekend. This is not the case anymore. Very rarely do you see a rider...
rbabb524 Started a new thread RCH Racing
7/30/2014 12:13am With Ivan retiring and there being an off weekend does RCH give a privater a shot for the final 4 rounds? I say give Nicolletti a call.

7/28/2014 1:45pm I know he has a team, but I was under the impression that the JGR was only for the first 6 races; and that he would be on his own with his N-fab support at Unadilla. Also hasn't JGR been very open to letting him go if he gets an opportunity? I don't know what he has going for next...
