Any word on how SX tv ratings were on fox this weekend? The fan turn out looked pretty good but it didn't have the glitzy feel like it dose under the lights. Thoughts?

I liked it more than the night races. It had an awesome look, in this case change is good lol

Was thinking the same, specifically told my pops that I wish they'd sprinkle in a few day races throughout the season. Uncovered stadiums only, obviously.

Probably just because it was different, but I loved seeing it in the daylight, thought it came across great in natural light.

It was nice to be done with the event and packed up and out of there by 8 instead of the usual 11:30 or 12!

Now that my son is old enough to come to the race with me, I would love to go to an early race. I think he was a lot more tired than he was leading on leading up to the mains this year. Selfishly, as a parent bring a kid to the race, I would love to be outta there early evening.

Haha I just remembered it wasn't under lights. I DVR'd it and watched it pretty much at the normal time. It did look different and the whole broadcast I couldn't put my finger on it even though I was aware because earlier in the Supercross live show they were talking about the daytime fireworks lol. Overall the whole thing looked awesome including the racing.

I appreciate Ralph a lot more now after witnessing the "FOX network" guy.

I haven't watched it because the season is already decided.

Pits appeared less crowded than last year. A little tight on the timing. General admission was 9 am and first qualifying was 9:10AM.

I am a big fan of the day show....man i don't know how many times I am holding one eye open by the time the 450 main comes around...soo tired. They need to push it towards day show. I am a pretty hardcore fan and it is hard for me to stay up that late...can't image for someone who just flips to supercross on tv.

This ^^
I was a little put off though, by how they used the crashes and drama in the highlight reel to begin the show.....I think the sport is about so much more than crashes and drama. Looks like they used the NASCAR formula.
Other than that I loved the broadcast sans the Fox announcer guy...lol...

People will see the crashes, want to watch and as they become fans will respect the athletic abilities/techniques of the riders. I don't enjoy it, but I understand why they do it.

From a quick glance it looks like it was 2 times the viewership the coverage the week prior at Santa Clara received. I work in the software space for media monitoring.

I like the idea especially for west coast rounds. To watch it live on east coast it normally is on from like 10-2am depending on where it is. Daytime shows would air live in east coast at like 7pm which would be much better. I highly doubt any casual fans stay up to watch the west coast rounds live

One race that definitely needs to be during the day is Daytona. Bring back the day race.
