I grew up racing moto in AZ and miss it. Man those were good times. Haven't owned a bike for years, unfortunately. Racing the Beat the Heat series was always fun in the summer. At one point we had ACP, Speedworld, Canyon, Verde Valley, Air Sarival (wasn't around long), Grindingstone (one of my favorites), ET, Firebird, Motoland, Ocotillo...maybe missing another or two. I remember as a kid you saw a bike in the bed of a truck all the time. Now it's a complete rarity. SXS's have completely taken over the market it seems. It's amazing to see neighborhoods practically...

The truth is AZ has a small MX population. The tracks dont get huge turnouts. And AZ MX riders are overly critical of tracks (my generalized opinion) which doesn't help. AZ riders do not want to drive. The vast majority live in the Valley (Phoenix) and all the nice areas are high elevation (like Prescott). They complain if they have to drive that far. Prescott had a public track for a long time. It closed (Verde Valley) Fort McDowell Area had a track, Grindingstone. Everyone knows the story about how it closed from a kid getting hurt. This is great advice. Really want to emphasize gripping the bike with your legs and getting your head way up over the bars.

Drive your head forward. Ahead of the handlebar pad. Lots of other little technical pieces but driving your head forward with a straight back will do the trick.

I agree on the full commitment part, That's why I was relieved when my kid said he just wanted to ride for fun.

It’s called having an opinion dude 🤦🏼. When someone shows you who they are believe them. Ty has shown over and over that he/they are difficult to work with, only want to do things ‘their way’ and don’t communicate well. He’s talented at least outdoors.

This isn’t coming from what we hear on the internet. This came from former team managers and conversations that team personnel have had with moto media. Ty and his father are difficult to work with and it’s unfortunately hurt his reputation.

If he gets a shot with Star he better take it as his last opportunity like I thought he would do with PC and just do whatever the hell the team wants him to do for a year.

Deft gloves are some of my favorite all-time. Have had several pairs from 2016-2018 era. Currently only have one pair left and this is a good reminder to find some more. I've tried random Fly and FXR gloves....meh. Ok but fingers don't always fit right or seams end up in weird spots. Also currently have numerous Fox gloves as thats the gear I'm wearing, Bombers, 360, Airlines and Flexairs. They all seem to fit me well and my go to's are the Airlines or Flexairs. I have had some stitching come loose with not a lot of time on them...
