If it was literally hours off the showroom floor maybe? I haven't seen any 8-year old 250s sell for more than a couple grand unless they were mint. Maybe values of 2t's have gone up a bunch since I was in the market last time.

It's not as far-fetched as you might think. Before the EPA put a stop to it, counties routinely sprayed oil (lard is a solidified fat) onto dirt roads to keep down the dust. It didn't prevent it all, but made life less dirty for people living on dirt roads. As for infusing SX dirt with the stuff.. not hard.. all...

Days when everything feels right. Gear, bike, weather, dirt.. it all comes together in perfect harmony.. and you make sweet music with that beautiful harmony. Rare I have those days, but I remember them well.

I was cheering on Doug Henry when he started riding the 400.. this feels the same to me (even tho I know in my head the 125 isn't on its way up like the YZF was). I am a sucker for the underdogs running off-brand stuff. Cheered on Cannondale in the early 00's. Loved the Trials guys ruining it for...

I haven't paid him yet, but will when my next dd hits. My deal was $25 for making the night show, and if he made the main then I'd pay $25 a lap where he was in 10th or better, and $100 a lap where he was top 5. I'll commit to the same deal for New Orleans. Who's willing...

They became a commodity sometime back in 1978. But hey, don't listen to me.. run down to your local mall's Hot Topic and buy some more Made in China punk-rock t-shirts. Dye your hair and make a non-statement by posting self-pics on Facebook, from your iPhone app, after you check in to Starbucks via Four-squre. That's punk as fuck these...

Ditto on that.. I have a few sites with integrated phpBB boards. Some use phpBB's user tables to control sessions, some use a custom user table that phpBB hooks into. The latter is actually easier in the amount of code needed. But the ability to integrate phpbb's user sessions across the site is handy.

Great to hear - don't hesitate to reach out to your fans if you need anything. Hope you talked with Sandra about getting some motor work done. We'll be sending you a little more green here soon to help with the expenses. Night show. "Stamp it!"

I like the fenders and side plates, but the YZ125/250 (and RM125/250) Achilles heel is the stupid radiator shroud design. The shrouds should have covered the entire tank - thus making it much easier (and cheaper) to keep the bikes looking new.

My first race at a real track was like that.. I raced in the guys 125 beginner class and the gate was full with 40 riders (rubber band start too). I finished 13th overall on a 5 year old roach.. the jumps weren't as risky and the racing just seemed better to me. I'm done racing because of the jumps...

Of course, and his guest made an issue that factory bikes have always been faster than privateer bikes, to justify the DOUBLE disadvantage Renner/Smith had this weekend. Go Team Renner, and Ryan Smith if you decide to make another go of it this year. The fans know what we want better than Matthes does.

Americans like a good underdog. We like to see older riders win and succeed, and we love seeing older bikes rip and beat new supposedly better bikes. As someone who has worked in moto for years, Matthes ought to know and support that desire better than any of us. So he's burned out on the old days. Stop being such...
