Thanks for all the replies. I think I should have been a bit more clear in starting the thread. What I had intended was maybe us helping each other sharing things that we did that helped us during the worst part. I still have moments that for some reason I don't know, that just happen, and an immense sadness overcomes me. For the most part I'm now at the stage where I can think about the good times, the times in my life where he guided me in the right direction even when I didn't know he was doing it...

Very sorry for your families loss. When I lost my dad it took time. For the first year or two I couldn’t even talk about it. You never get over it, but you learn how to be at peace with it. I was still racing at the time my dad was sick and after he passed away. Those days at the track were priceless. It was the only moments it wasn’t on my mind. Hang in there. Best wishes

Sorry for your losses, ToolMaker. Remembering the good times is important but is also can be a bit of a double-edged sword during your down times. And the below image helped me to try and at least give me a bit of perspective after losing my Dad.

I'm no pro, nor do I know any to ask at that level but think the difference between 1st and say 10th is belief in yourself and having the mental edge over the next guy. Things like that must really mes with your mindset and confidence

He surprised me this morning by having this 2022 YZ250 shipped to my house. I’ve never gotten a free bike before. Just loaners I had to buy/sell/give back at the end of the season/year. Pretty cool of him.

Drove to from Weatherford Tx to Monroe La to get this little fleabag. She is a golden retriever. I've been wanting a golden for quite awhile.
