Is anyone else like Christian Craig & never suffer with arm pump when racing mx ?

I appreciate mx is a technique sport, but to be able to push for wins & not ride tight ever seems incredible.

I havnt had it since my 01 CR days. It’s all in the grip. People Hold on too tight.

I've seen a video of Jett Lawrence saying he's never had arm pump. Think it was with AJ Catanzaro, said it was mainly down to holding the grips wide like a tennis racket.

I remember guys like Roncada getting surgeries to prevent arm pump - and leaving behind some gnarly scars. I know the surgeries are less invasive now, but I wonder if modern geometry has made it less of a problem now

I don't get arm pump anymore. I used to, but I credit having a good handlebar setup with eliminating the problem. That, and being in shape.

If I properly warm up and stretch before I ride. Never. If I go out cold and try hard, most defintely.

I never see anyone actually getting their blood pumping/HR rate up before their first moto/ride. Just suit up and ride, but only for 6-10 minutes before stopping. Meanwhile im doing jumping jacks, jogging, and stretches before even starting my machine.

I do 25 push ups about 10 minutes or so before I go out .. it ses to help but proper hydration helps a ton too
