All the "I've had little league coaches be harder" people: have you considered that maybe that's why they're little league coaches?

I'll give Pierce's coach the benefit of the doubt, but his delivery definitely seems unhelpful, especially for a young kid like Pierce. I get the need for harshness at times, but I'd think Pierce just needs a positive start to build on things after his injuries last year. Once he's putting in some soldi results, then it might be time to light a fire under his ass and push him to the top. But I'm just backseat driving.

Maybe “positivity” and blowing smoke up these kids asses is why 75% of them seem to flame out once they get to the pros and get their asses beat.

Seems the guy came off as a douche but was upfront and to the point. I'm sure the rider has heard it before and responds better to someone saying it straight.

Pierce was mocking his coach in another Instagram thread. That coach had no game. Forget about the rainbows and peaches, of course it’s not all about that but that guy skills were pretty fucking lame.

I definitely don't like the "you're perfect" attitude that a lot of these posses have. But I think a more analytical approach is better: "you're good here, you need to be better here" instead of just yelling.

it’s important to recognize that the rider is having a bad day and adjust the days objectives according. Riding frustrated is what can lead to mental lapses and serious injury. Now we dont know the build up to this video but from what I see both the rider and mechanic are feeding negatively off each other. This would have been the perfect “no clutch” or “stay standing” day. Sometimes negative learning is more detrimental anything else.

I think that might just be the team atmosphere.

Not saying I agree or disagree with it, but it just seems to be the way they operate out there.

I remember thinking Keefe was a giant dick on that episode of MotoSpy(?) from last season with Hartranft...but Hartranft said he liked it that way so who knows?
