It's funny, I have a 6 week old boy, my first child and I had him at 39. I have quite a strange on/off relationship with moto, I've loved it since I was 12 but have had many hiatus's, rode BMX heavily for 10 years, lots of other forms of bikes but moto always has a special place as it really speaks to my inner child. My parents didnt really support me riding as a kid, so to ride now feels like living me 12 year old dream. Having our kid (called Travis, haha) has made me want to ride...

Got to demo a 125x and fun as hell. There is a nice thread on thumpertalk under Yamaha 2 strokes. If you are on the fence, this thread will convince you. Rumor is that a lot of the engine magic is from the x CDI. Can get much of same power delivery on regular yz125 by swapping CDI.

Had one of those years ago as a playbike, sold it to fund other ideas at the time, bad idea. That damn thing was the easiest way to make a bad day go away, always made me smile.

Osborne will be better than last year, likely Deano will be better than last year, likely Brayton will be as good as last year, likely Mookie is actually in shape, Hill maybe. Deep field this year and if the whoops are big all year, all these guys have an advantage over Webb in them except ZO. This might sound stupid, but 1 concern I have is making the investment (which is pretty pricey) and then having the bike become outdated rather quickly. I feel like as these bikes become popular, the tech may advance rather rapidly. To me, that is a lot of money to drop only to have a much better version come out soon after. Not the end of the world, but I still think it would be frustrating.
