Must be flying. Maybe they want him to change his diet and a good wake up call at A1 would do the trick.

He's just a kid, and he is gonna do kid stuff. However, being tossed into the deep end would overwhelm damn near anybody, I think he will probably be ok. He has one of the sports best gigs, and he is used to being on a big stage already. He obviously is smart, quick on his feet, and has a solid support system to keep him in touch with day to day reality. Keep all those pluses in check, and with some luck, he could really make a dent on a record book. He's our new "free-spirit" we will all be watching.......Based on how his brother is doing, I think it's safe to say those boys folks keep them in check for the most part. I never knew JLaw to talk to him much, but I can't say there could have been much in terms of "parenting" or guidelines. Geico rolled the dice, and they look like like they have already knocked one out of the park with these two kids based on attention alone. The sport will benefit based on his fun personality, look at Travis......... Fun people draw crowds. Being fast makes it all that much better for everyone involved.

Having spent quite a bit of time at practice tracks with Jett and his dad I can say one thing. These guys are as humble as they come. Jett has the ability to be a championship contender. He is like a young Roczen.

Yeah the rythm he was banging out on the last straight was absolutely insane. Had a few yips, but excited to see what the future holds for him.

Not so much being tossed in at the deep end.
Was another Aussie kid who went professional once at 16yo and he went straight into the big boy class. Didn't turn out too bad either. Actually that used to happen quite a bit years ago. Funny how that's changed and they tend to try to 'protect' the young talent now.
There's a lot to be gained from that early professional experience while you're still young and tenacious in my opinion.

One of our friend FTE's best shots, and maybe the best shot ever of JLaw...

I have to agree with DC.
At first glance, I noticed his incredible speed and his perfect body positioning and technique, two fingers on the clutch and all.
But after further inspection I saw something else. Something that captures JLAW at his very essence.
Those ain’t two fingers on the clutch, they’re not even on the clutch! he’s giving the bird! Left handed!

This shot FTE got of Jason is definitely in my top 3 all time. And I agree with Davey, possibly the best ever of JLaw.

Jett looked like he was cruising but still maintaining Blose and Freckles speed. Very impressive for a first outing against guys who have hat mountains of gate drops. Its a good time to be an Aussie AMA fan

I’m a huge fan of Jet. If he finishes the sx year in the top 10 and healthy I’ll be very happy.

He was even more impressive than I thought he would be last night, kid looks to be more than the real deal. He was not racing with any slouches out there, Blose, Oldenburg, Jay Wilson are all very quick, Blose a consistent 5-10 guy last year in the AMA SX, Jet first time racing with the big boys was right with them and not giving an inch.

Had one or two moments in the whoops but never backed off, just pulled the front wheel to the roof and keep it on.

Yes West Coast 250 is going to be tougher than racing in Aus, as you have 20 guys on the gate all with that type of pace, but he will be fine after what we witnessed last night.

Ah man I think you've just gotta understand that the Jlaw think isn't about 'idolatry' as such. Everyone knows he epically blew potentially one of the great careers and no one should shoot for that. But there's just something about him. A maverick, an unknowable element... Just interesting. And at this point over a decade later what's the point of pointing out his flaws anymore? He's something we may never see again and I don't think you can blame people for being interested in that. But yeah, probs don't teach your kids to be like Jlaw for sure 😂

objectively the reason its the best photo as not because of anything to do with the bike, riding or framing or the sense of speed. It's because he's giving us the finger and that is peak J-Law

'Want good role models, take your kids to church' Yeah Nah mate, taking your kids to a place that actively covers up systemic child abuse is not the place to look for good role models... But I guess it comes down to personal morals.

I would say want good role models, be a good role model...
