I really like the clean graphics but I have never cared for that bodywork.

True, but if you're ever stuck in an avalanche, you could dig your way out with that rear fender!

Its not even up for debate, the 79 KX is the best looking of all the years. Cool

I completely agree... In '79 I picked up my first Honda support ride and was on the too-tall, ill handling, 23" front wheeled CR125. I was in awe of those Kawasaki's, the gold was just too cool.

For me, it's either the '92 or '96.

Agree don't know why but I dig the purple on the 90's Honda, Yamaha, and Kawi's.

Mathes know’s what’s up Tony, absolutely scandalous to put a 4 banger ahead of the H1/H2 gen KX, ffs!

‘91, ‘92 then ‘94 as my top 3 from a life long Kawi guy. Still own the ‘91 too!

I had one of these in 94 when I was 19. I rode it until it was just a pile of worn out, bent and beaten parts. Rode the hell out of it on a daily basis.
Good times

Basically ANY KX 500 from 1988 to 1994... with the exception of maybe 89 and the blue side plates. The KX 500 might be the sexiest bike of all time.

I was going to say the 90kx 125 as had one, but the 500 SR GP bikes took some beating that year for looks etc. And with a very young Paul Mallin riding it too

I don't know if I can qualify the 94 as the best, but goddamn it is everything 90s moto meant to me as a kid. That look is just one of those bikes that stands out to me from my youth from a visual pov.

Not as infamous as the 92 RM, nor as clean as the 93 CR and YZ but so freaking 90s moto cool!

The 95 was a noticeably better bike, but the 94 may have looked better.

For me, the 95 KX 250 was the first motorcycle I owned that wasn't a honda, and it was such a good bike. Power was ok, and suspension and handling were great. Sold it in 96, and didn't own another bike for about 20 years. And still regret not keeping that one around. But it did fund a term of two of college.
