12/11/2025 10:25am I raced Dave a time or two. He's one of my own kind. Len and I both love moto. He's a James fan. I'm a RC fan. Just like my best friend was a Tripes fan and I was a Hannah fan. Did we take it too far with the bickering? Sure we did. The thing about Dave and Lenny, beyond the love of moto, is that they would tell you what they think. No filter. No subterfuge. Definitely NOT politically correct. I can respect that.

12/11/2025 10:24am I think after him and his wife split up he pretty much went offline. Last I remember he had to leave the homestead in afton and was living somewhere up in the mountains between greenville, tn and asheville. I am not sure anybody that has been here less than 10 years could survive a hillbilly rant. Man, if somebody got him and pro125 on a podcast a lot of heads might explode.

12/11/2025 10:23am Dude! You can have all of that minus the beer. Pasta should not be eaten at night IMO. Rice is great, cook it yourself. Bread is another daytime food for me but a staple. I love bread. Either make it or buy Dave's green bag (oil free). Cereal - another staple of mine. Simple cereals like plain Cheerios, rice crispies, shredded wheat are oil and sugar free. I eat TONS of rice crispies with vanilla whey and honey. Best workout fuel there is eaten about 1.5 hours ahead of time. There are also plenty of ice creams with no oil...

12/11/2025 10:23am I have been in bodybuilding, marathon, cycling, and general fitness and prep my whole life. I’ve coached a few dozen people and worked with tons of training partners. The simplest and easiest thing you can do is just intermittent fasting. Stop eating so much! Period. Do IF from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm and then once you’re in rhythm reduce from 12:00-6:00. This is the simplest and most foolproof thing to do in my findings. Restriction diets (keto, carnivore, morning gym) and novel methods almost always shock the person and they don’t find any sustainability in it. Start here and...

12/11/2025 10:20am I’ll play. 213 currently and would love to hit 190. Was on a tear last year and got close, but injury and losing my dad had me cornered. Pressing ahead and I appreciate the timing of this post! I’m starting easy this week and focused on reestablishing habits rather than too strong of a start and petering out. Showing up is key. Full intro week of daily incline treadmill walking, then will be adding 3 days of the week full body weight training with a couple intense cardio, but also not neglecting those loooong zone 2 sessions to rebuild stamina...

12/11/2025 10:18am Already lost 50 pounds this year going carnivore diet. First time in my whole adult life I've been below 200 pounds. Been feeling so much better on and off the bike.

12/11/2025 10:18am When it comes to the diet I have one piece of advice for when you're trying to lose weight, drop the protein shakes or liquid food/liquid diets in general. A big part of a sustainable weight loss is that you don't run around hungry all the time and liquid foods/shakes are rather high in calories but just don't fill up your stomach, resulting in becoming hungry again faster. Eat food that makes you full but is low in calories instead, specially protein/vegetables/carbs (yes, there is good carbs, as long as it's not processed sugar). Shakes are rather meant for weight...

12/11/2025 10:17am One of the other threads inspired me ya might say. Quite a few guys mentioned dropping weight. Some even mentioned significant amounts. I’m thinking we have a friendly weight loss competition for bragging rights. I dropped about 40 pounds last year but needed to loose 60. Big guys can carry a lot of weight lol. I’m about 6’1” now, was 6’2” in high school but back surgery and age has shrunk me. I’ll be 70 in March, but I don’t feel like it! Was down to 205 but back up to 220 the other day. I noticed my weight gain...

11/21/2025 10:17am I’m glad DV was successful and smart enough with his money so that he doesn’t have to rely on endemic sponsors to cover anything he does. One of the few that is off basically any kind of leash and can say whatever he wants.

11/21/2025 10:17am It all depends on the design. In general, aluminum will fatigue and fail before steel will, but that depends on the stress levels and the stress levels depend on the frame design. Whether the frame is steel or aluminum is only one part of the picture. That alone doesn't tell us much of anything about how the chassis will feel. I bet if you bench tested a KTM chassis (frame, swingarm, fork, clamps, etc., including all structural parts axle to axle) it would be nearly the same stiffness as a Honda, Kawi, Yamaha, etc. chassis tested in the same way...

11/21/2025 10:16am And he said it in French so we would all be frustrated that we didn't know what he said, which makes what he said worthless unless we can get 10 pages here to finally find out what we don't know. And by that time we'll have forgotten what started this thread. 🙃
