Thanks all. Surgery went well. Luckily the meniscus just needed trimming and no stitches so I can put pressure on the leg. Laying low on the couch elevating and ice machining doing foot and thigh movement exercises. Doing some laps around the house on the crutches to get some blood flow, hamstring is the most sore part right now. Luckily football started and today we have SMX to keep me occupied 😎 Excited for PT to start and get off these crutches.

Just did the same surgery last October at 32 years old. I also recommend finding an athletic focused PT. Luckily or unluckily I already had a good relationship with an athletic PT that was comfortable in pushing it with me during rehab. In result, I healed very quickly and restored range/strength faster than most expected. One thing my PT said to do right after surgery (clear with your surgeon just in case) are "quad sets" (flexing the quad) and "heal slides" (just pulling/sliding your heal toward your but while sitting down straight legged. don't exceed ROM set by surgeon) See...
