Team Solitaire Liked a reply to forum topic Ryan Breece Needs Money?

Breece is a good, hard-working kid with a dream. He is simply asking for help to chase that dream. It takes a lot to ask for help, but shows maturity to realize you can’t do things alone. You can simply help him or not. He is already fighting an uphill battle and I’m sure he could use some encouragement as opposed to some of the bashing above. I love that this kid is a fighter and rides with passion - sometimes too much. Much luck and love and I know most all the moto community backs him wholeheartedly!

OK so I am a new rider and I have about 12 hours on a 2005 CR125. I bought this bike ragged out, replaced BOTH wheels, have done a shitload of maintenance and know the mechanicals inside and out. It's really easy to work on compared to a 4 cyl street bike. The 12 hours is basically my entire experience on a motocross track. All my other time was on street bikes. I only had about 2500 miles so you can imagine my level of competence. I'm finally getting to the point where I can go to the track, get...

One kid among all my buds kids as well. It's almost better if you act like you don't want them doing it. My parents always had this thing where I was never going to have a motorcycle so I busted my ass until I bought one. I found my own way to the track more often than not and my...

I have done tried that. So have almost all my old riding friends. Out of 20 or 30 guys I rode with and all of the kids they have had I think maybe one kid rides. They just don't care to do it. My kids ride if I say hey we are going riding today. but they never ask me to ride. If I sold all the bikes today they might not ever notice they are gone. And my old buddies kids are all the same. When I was I kid I would push mow the yard as fast as...

That just sucks. I am a firm believer that you choose to ride and nobody makes you ride so when shit happens it's only the fault of the rider not the property.

I think India has banned tear-offs, too. Do you see any tear-offs in their most famous river? Ganges Here we see the benefit of banning tear-offs at the MXGPof China. Very beautiful!

I'm currently in the middle of a restoration of my 2001 CR500 Dual Sport that I got from my good buddy Don RIP.... Haven't had any problems getting parts so far but damn got screwed on some shipping from Babbitt online all I needed was some top end gaskets and set of rings and they charged me twenty bucks for 2-day delivery that I did not ask for they go by the price of the item. In my recent restoration of my ‘87 CR TooFiddy, I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that about 50% of the OEM Honda parts I needed, were still available at Motosport.com. The rest I found on EBay, vintage motocross vendor sites and thru Facebook pages devoted to Honda CR’s. (Resto- Mod)

As a dealer for 40 years, I have seen everything you guys have posted, and then some. I am in Illinois, so the title is very important here if you are a licensed dealer, or if the bike is new enough, the buyer finances the unit, it will need a title. MX bikes also have a nasty habit of running great one minute, then blowing up the next minute, I have seen it many, many times. We will not trade in used MX bikes as a rule for that reason unless we know the bikes history well.

I seen an ad for 2002 cr250 with black plastic on it, little dirty. upon further review it was a 2001. carb vent hoses were still pink, and some of the bolts sitll had that gold look on the heads. I drove almost two hours to look at it. young kid, says he cant keep it running without fouling plugs.. I get there and it looks like a brand new 2001 with crappy plastic on it. stock tires (695 rear and the 490 front!) the cyclinder nut still had the yellow paint lined up with the stud. same for the...

Black rims on bikes that didn't come with them from factory Spoke covers Swingarm decals (here's lookin' at you Renthal) Wiring "hacks" (like where someone butchered factory wiring to "hook up" leds) Retro graphics on newer bikes when all they did was a graphics kit and didn't paint frame or change rims to match OEM for that model year. Painted (non-black) expansion chambers on 2-strokes Duct tape anywhere Massively scratched fenders/side plates. Bent levers

Hmm..Haha..Let me count the ways. "Street tires".... Cracked rims Cracked cases Cracked cases with JB weld hideously blobbed Cracked hubs, Wheels with spokes seized and stretched to the point of the rim/tires jangling as you pick the bike up Triple clamp stops snapped off Missing head stays Chain guides and swingarms sawed through Blown fork and shock seals Frozen linkage...
