This is a very smart way to handle haiden. Haiden wants to do mind games and will twist literally anything he would say. Remember when jett last year said “haidens not in the same class as me so I’m not really thinking about it” and everyone knew jett literally meant hes not in the 450 class hes in the 250 class, but haiden twisted it to make it sound like jett was saying hes in a different class as a rider. This. Historically Haiden does actually end up over his head pretty often. I don’t like Deegan at all but I’m glad to see him stay healthy like he has through his career because I don’t like seeing anyone get injured. Look at the SMX final last year with Jo. Salt Lake this year with Davies. Lots of examples of him riding over his head, looking back a bunch and having tip overs or small crashes trying to override. Jett and Hunter are faster than Deegan right now , it's plain to see . There's no shame in it . I wish we could see where Sexton at his best and a healthy Eli fit in to this mix .

You guys ever ride with a friend who is much better than you? You kinda try catch a tow at the start but you’re just basically looking ahead at them and copying them with regards to lines and not consciously riding your own way - eventually you make the inevitable mistake that costs you a few bike lengths and you just lose site of them and suddenly they’re just pulling bike lengths on you and by moto’s end they’re gone. HD is on the front end of his 450 career - he has speed, he has factory support and he has youth. He will get better at managing the moto as he matures - maybe this year - maybe next - but he will be a front runner at some point. I'm not sure where this ass out straight legs style came from, I don't remember that when he was on 250 but that has to change - it's going to hurt him on a 450

Deegan poses less challenge than Sexton did in 2023, 2024 and 2025. Even taking shortcuts he wasn’t able to pass him. AP last year passed Jett at Thunder Valley. No shortcuts. Just flat out passed him. For whatever reason Jett struggles to find a flow in the first moto at that track.

Unless anyone thinks Jett is going to go 1-1 for the rest of his career then it’s likely the other guys in the top 3-5 will get a moto win here and there. Whether it makes any difference over the course of a championship is a different story. Years later I suspect that will be a bragging point - “I took a moto win from Jett”.
