Patriotism has nothing to do with not wanting to spend tens of thousands of dollars and risking an injury for a race that counts for nothing. Deegan and Star get paid by Yamaha and Monster to win races and titles in America. A one off race does for bragging rights is not a good return on investment. I don’t get why people are so hung up on this race. Y’all act like people are burning the American flag because they don’t want to go.

No way bro, surgery is not a valid excuse. According to FarmerJ and HerrLich he should ignore his health and go no matter what or he's not allowed to wave an American flag ever again. Is he refusing or does he have circumstances that don't allow him to commit? Sounds like he needs surgery so he can be ready to go for 2025, you know for the Series' that he has a contract and his sponsors expect him to race, so should he sacrifice his contractual obligations just to do a race for free to make you happy?
