There’s one kid in my neighborhood that’s probably around 13-14 but he’s not part of the Surron gang. For experienced riders this is probably mostly the case. And that just becomes their normal, and the direction they stick with going forward. Or, maybe that becomes a good entry point for kids, and then they move on to Japanese and European dirt bikes the longer they ride and decide that reliability and parts availability becomes more important...

Little update. Jake’s life day was a few weeks ago and he’s gotten back on a track! My old man converted a dirt track kart to hand controls. Pretty sweet and time to add to my collection of dirt bikes and pick me up one. Wish his insurance wasn’t such a pain in the ass! I’m saving up work bonuses to get him a front scooter for his chair so when we go to the races and such it’s not so taxing on him

On the question about facing these extra challenges as a disabled person… It’s literally because the people that pray the most (the evangelicals) vote for the party that will do absolutely anything to make sure they hurt anyone who is underprivileged if it means bigger profits for big business. If given the choice a business will not comply with ADA so it’s up to the gov to make sure it’s enforced… and remains current… This shouldn’t be a political thinks but the rights of people with a disability (like me) to access society hinges on politics.

I live in Cleveland just east of Chattanooga, there isn't much here outside of private tracks. There have been a few within an hour or so over the years, but they've all closed for one reason or another. Woods/trail riding is a lot more popular around here.
