I don’t think you realize how many NON pro guys are insanely fast in vet 30. The entire gate of 30+ is ex pros ?! Nope. It’s an amatuer National for a reason. Also, when you turn 40. It doesn’t get any easier. Because everyone else turns 40 right alongside you. Guys that continue to race at this level don’t just disappear at certain age increments.

You guy need to review the video closer. It clearly wasn’t on purpose, no one would ever be bold enough to do that on purpose. It occurred, now the only argument is whether he slowed down enough to justify reentering in the position that he did. He got a good jump, put his body weight over that back wheel for more traction and drive. When he did that his front wheel was slightly elevated and the rut through him off balance. He slowed slightly, even had to pivot around the camera man. At best he maintained speed, but didn’t accelerate...

That was a damn good day. At least my friends told me it was. Turned 21 that very day.

I always had EVS and Asterisk knee braces but switched to EVS TP199 pads/shin guards. I really like them a lot. I don't ruin pants every couple rides any more and they seem like really good protection. They're really comfortable too so I'm super happy with them.
