No doubt the track is awesome. The Ridge is a National level track and I would be surprised if MX Sports has not discussed holding a Pro National there.

Worth the drive. Excellent track and fun to ride!

Great dirt, wide, fast, big jumps with safe landings.very good at keeping dust down with watering truck roads. Very well organized, run through race day moto's quickly.

Track is awesome and has good dirt/sand combo with a good prep. Not at national level, pros would destroy that track with like 1:30 or less lap times. They would have to put back in the old back section and part of the kids track to be enough for a national. 250 C can clear everything. Wednesday practice is great tons of seat time. Sunset Bob is a really nice guy too.

I hope you aren't driving today. They got a bunch of rain yesterday and announced they weren't going to hold their Weds practice today.

They already have a relationship with MX Sports as they hold an ATV National every year. As mentioned, to make the track work for an MX national, they would probably need to add in other sections, but they reconfigure the track every couple years. For the Vet race in July they added the old back section in again but took out part of the front area. It was cool to ride that for the first time in almost 10 years.

No not driving today, mapping out a trip for early October. Thanks though

I drive 2 hrs regularly to ride there. One of my favorite tracks in the country. When they disk it deep it gets extremely rough. Some times all the jumps are a little bit bigger harder, sometimes the chop them down a touch. All ways a good day of riding. Only jump i dislike is the finish line. It gets so chucked out sometimes that you could hit the same line 5 times and get thrown 5 different ways. Yeah i know find a new line but that's every line at that point.

Best track in the midwest. Every bit comparable to Red Bud.

They deserve to hold a national there. Bob and the Pistole Family are amazing people who support the sport 100%. Bob and his family are very close with the Richies from Red Bud.

GIVE SUNSET RIDGE A MX NATIONAL!!!!
