I live within walking distance of the track and as far as I know Colorado is currently limiting outdoor events to 175 people.

Is the race categorized differently somehow?

I think NHRA just cancelled their event there... I'm assuming mx would have similar issues. What a bummer this year is

Tickets were to go on sale yesterday but they say sometime this week on their website. I’ve been wondering as well.

Planned a trip there from Ohio for my bday and our wedding anniversary. Will enjoy the area regardless but fingers crossed we get a chance at going.

The authorities have been hard on Bandimere Speedway just down the road attempting to have events.

A number of 175 people allowed is a stat that gets thrown around the news constantly. I’ve heard conflicting information that that number is for the entire event and for a certain area within the event. So possibly a number of 175 people areas within the event.

Either way it’s a battle for the promoter and I’m hoping to score a couple tickets if I don’t miss the offering.

I'm not holding my breath for it to happen. I'm 4.5 hours down the road and I haven't even put it on my calendar. I go for the pits as much as anything else and no pits = no go.

Almost Laughable that Colorado and other states have this mandate when RV parks and National Parks are packed to the hilt with people in Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Arizona and NM. Just got back from a cool 2 week riding trip and the amount of travelers is beyond belief. This madness needs to end.

Ben Lamay has been riding there a lot and giving lessons there as well. I am really hoping this race happens for his sake.

Well i suppose they will hold the event with or without fans. Promoter gonna lose either way.

This all sounds very familiar...hope they get more than 5 days notice when the "RLT" decides to cancel the race due to "restrictions". Whistling

They could run it at ACP here in AZ that time of year. Should finally be cooled off enough for AZ to hold a national. ACP isn't nearly as nice as Lakewood, but AZ has super low case rates right now and could definitely get the race in. I'm sure there are plenty of tracks out west that could have the race if Lakewood has to bow out. Same goes for Pala. Utah has some tracks that could run a race.

Case rates in AZ are far higher than CO but I support your enthusiasm.

Did a little separation of warring parties in here. Let's keep it civil, gang. Reality-based would be good, too.

Bandimere speedway just down the road was just sued by Jefferson county for having a large gathering; so it’s not likely TV will be able to have that many fans if at all. BUT, it’s still a month away so here’s hoping!

The governor of Colorado just had a press conference to announce that 5,700 fans will be allowed at the stadium for the first football game this coming Monday. Seating in small and separate groups of no more than 175, in order to be compliant with the current covid rules.

Hopefully that's good news for the upcoming national! Unless there's a big outbreak after the game...

Yeah I heard Co. had snow too. Along with Midwest states. I bet snow will fly at 1 of the rounds.
