I was able to find a frame on ebay and rebuilt the bike. Somehow the forks were straight, verified checking runout with a lathe. How it looked after the frame swap.

Really just need a caliper and allowable limits from the chain manufacturer. Some of them will give you a pin to pin measurement across a span. Some of them will give a deflection measurement with the chain off the bike. You can also grab the chain on the rear of the sprocket (assuming tension is correct) and see if there is any slop. That's a pretty surefire way to tell if it's ready for replacement.

Previous owner fell a few times, front fender scuffed, bars were twisted in the clamps and throttle grip end torn…spun throttle tube around & glued the grip back on…replaced bars with my bend and straightened clamps…front fender getting a sticker over scuffs😂

Hose down your bike. Put some dish soap in a spray bottle and add water. Spray bike with dish soap. Rinse bike. Done. Or go to car wash. Do not use simple green or anything like that, it will eat coatings and streak. The dish soap will cut the dirt and random grease on the bike without messing up the finish. Just like any other products remember to occasionally grease bearings and obviously lube the chain. This has been my routine for years and everytime I sell a motorcycle it looks like it has 20 hours on it.

Pw50 is the correct first bike. The other choice is the e2, but not cheap. Buy a $900 pw, and sell it for 900 when he outgrows it.

Dude it’s over a week out, the weather people don’t even know what’s going to happen this afternoon, especially in the Midwest. That said if it’s hot we will see how everyone including Prado handle it.
