Barcia came in hot protecting the line from Friese and Jett turned down early. Perfect storm, there lines came together. Racing incident. Crashes like these have happened before & will happen again

JT$, who has more experience and knowledge in racing than anyone participating on this forum, breaks the situation down succinctly in his post race video. He disagrees with the majority here. He has been all over the Jett hype train, so you can’t say he has any bias against him. It was a racing incident. Nothing more, nothing less.

Jett will think twice about cutting down like that on the first lap. Barcia is wrong but Jett should have known better.

What you can't see in that picture is Friese inside of Justin. Justin was blocking the inside line but definitely bad judgement from both Jett and Justin. Shit happens though, don't need to play the blame game

Knew a guy in Ft. Lauderdale that was a road rager. Didn't see him for about a year and shows up at the RC track with one eye. Found out he was raging with some kid on 95 they both got out and the kid threw a padlock at him and took his eye out and left him on the side of the road. Never know whats going to happen.

First, I am hoping Denny makes a quick and complete recovery. Next, in no way do I presume to know how this incident unfolded, but it reminds me of when my Dad told me that there was always somebody tougher and crazier than you, no matter who you are. Best of luck Denny !

There's research showing the similarities between road rage and how people behave online on platforms like X. Basically, being behind the wheel and inside a car, and in the other being behind a keyboard anonymously, causes a dangerous depersonalization in which the humanity of the other person is not recognized. However, it takes another level of anger to carry this on once outside of the car and once confronted by another person. In regards Ping, I can imagine he would be prone to road rage if his weird relationship to the internet is anything to go by.

Damn this sucks, heal up quick Denny you're a good dude and a big part of our sport. Hindsight is 20/20 but if I knew someone was following me from a road rage incident I'd either call the police and tell them this person is following me home for it or drive straight to a police station. Part of it being me in a chair I can't really fight but so many psychos out there with a good chance of having a knife or a gun. Sad thing is even then they could just pull up next to you and...
