I think we need to see the previous turn and how Barcia got by Friese.  That probably had something to do with Barcia's dive bomb into the turn to protect the inside (and himself) from retaliation.  A good wide angle shot of the previous turn would probably tell much more of this story.

If Bam didn’t take that line exactly how he did, Friese was going to do to him what he did the Jett. You can tell if you watch the behind-angle shot.

Jett got formally introduced to Dumb Dumb! Hope Jett is ok. Yes Jett cut Down but Jett would have had to rail the complete outside line to try and avoid contact by Dumb Dumb.

I think JT gives a fair breakdown of this.

Why am I not shocked this comes from another Aussie....

(Not all you Aussies are like this....but man, there sure are a good number who are)

But still, it's not as stupid as people blaming Friese for this.

Unfortunate racing incident....equal blame on Bam and Jett.....that's all this was.

That's funny because he's says this is a painful lesson Jett has to learn to not cut down so hard in a corner that early on in a race... Did you even watch the clip?

Having only seen one angle, we know two things; Jett turned down early at a bad time, and Barcia clobbered him.  That aside, I think it is questionable if Barcia would not have blown the corner or not, he was coming in hot as hades.

Barcia was coming in way too hot, especially that early in the race. Who he hit is irrelevant. Anyone would have gotten smoked there, and lots of people were cutting down. I fail to see the strategy here by Barcia. Not his brightest move.

Yeh I’m not suprised that common sense goes over your head “us Aussies” get taught that at a young age.

Not sure if it’s the food or the education system that stunts you Americans

We actually need to see the previous 2 or 3 turns before the incident. Very surprised our pro announcers didn't suggest that. I bet we'll find our answer there.

Blame pie 85% Barcia, 15% Jett. Turning down in traffic is always a risk, but Barcia was about to cut across the entire exit of the turn. When you're perpendicular to the track flow and a collision occurs, pretty good indicator it's on you.

To be fair Jett turned down so early he’s almost going perpendicular to the track

Supercross will be a better sport when KTM gives barcia back his 52mm forks. Then he won't be fighting with Vince mid pack and this incident never happens. This is actually all KTMs fault if you really think about it.

Barcia was thinking only of Friese because…game recognizes game.  It was like when Godzilla and King Kong are fighting in Tokyo.  Jett just happened to be a building downtown.  Collateral damage.

This analogy is perfection.

Well those 48s are probably bent and toasted, so a perfect opportunity!

Barcia did what he always does, ride like
a swine. And most of you will eat it up and think it’s awesome.

If even Jett was on the same line as his brother 51 would have still taken him out. So turned down early makes no sense , Bam Bam almost running the wrong way on the track is the real cause.  Put VF and JB together and .....  you get injured riders.

Damn auzie is too fast take him out .

Correct if JL just followed HL line JB would have still T boned him - So weird that turn down early is the cause ?   Auzie man bad concept.

Lawrence riding lap 5 lines, halfway through lap 1 ..  that is all on him, Barcia was covering his inside, like you should do on lap one.

Although there was a pretty significant gap behind him. He certainly was racing too far ahead of himself. Especially for lap 1.

Even if Jett stayed on the outside Barcia would t-bone him no matter what

There was no way he could make the turn coming into the corner with that speed.

There's no way it was an intentional takeout by Barcia. Even though it was a bad move, we can understand why Jett would cut down early (unless we don't understand racing.) Does anyone know wtf Barcia's plan was going into that corner? As I stated in the race thread, he didn't get on the brakes hard until he saw Jett cut down.

The difference is that Barcia had an entire straightaway to make the turn.
