Sorry for the bump, really can't find any info

Hey guys, can anyone with the 17.5 450 confirm what shock spring comes stock? I ordered a lighter spring for my 16FE (ordered 45-247) and received 45-260, local KTM dealer claims the 260 is replacing the 247. Can't find any info on the spring online so hoping someone can check for me before I install it. Cheers

I've owned a bunch of different four stroke since 2004, can't really say there is a massive difference between brands or models. To me a lot of it comes down to gearing and how high you are in the revs coming into a corner, after a couple hours on a 4stroke you will get use to it.

I rarely buy second hand but honesty and clear pics (even if its of wear) In the market for an old 125 and its amazing how many pieces of shit have fresh top and bottom end rebuilds with less than an hour since the rebuild haha.

My dad was born in 58 so I've been running it since getting back into racing since he passed. Before that I had a weird thing with changing numbers after a season ending injury, luckily been able to run 58 for 5 years now.

Any CNC shop will be able to handle it, If you were in Australia I would offer to do it for you. If its just milling in your number on a Hinson cover thats easy, would be a fair bit of work to make a complete custom one.

I can back up that KTM support their customers well, had a head issue at 20hours on my 17 450. Ended up with a fresh motor as their was damage to the bottom end/casings. Had a friend fry a clutch on a brand new Honda in 2 hours, basket was completely ruined, couldn't even get a discount on a new...

He was a legit privateer in every sense, rocked up with some bolt on parts from his bike at home and got a stock 450 and did work. Still impressive how well his starts were considering the bike he was on.

Amen to that, look at the trials riders that have moved across to the Enduros and dominated. I rode trials for a bit when coming off a busted femur and got buckets of respect for those guys, takes so much precision and bike skills.

I had a similar issue when I was down your way from Canberra. Probably just get a heap of window shoppers.
