Jeffrey was just rolling most the time today, no flicking the bike and not even halfway scrubbing jumps. He admitted he's not fast enough at this point due to being off the bike so much this season. At least he's smart enough to not push it and get into trouble, really must hurt like hell sometimes and that has to be in his head.

he didn't mean to say anything..... he SAID..... that when Herlings takes off his handguards, that is a sign that he is fit and healthy
he hates riding with guards, so is obviously only doing it to protect his injury, so when they disappear, he is no longer concerned with the hand

you really should learn English as well as the Belgians and Dutch.......

In my opinion Jeffrey is doing what he has failed to do in the passed and thats salvage points when injured. He's made good progress from Qatar but to me he looks to be still riding injured. For sure the right move is to tell the press that he's not quick enough so that when he is fully fit and isn't quite on the pace he doesn't look so cocky.

Very mature stuff from Jeffrey in previous years he would have been balls out and telling everyone he's going to win by 30secs and end up crashing out of the season. This season he is doing what Cairoli did in 2015 and 2016. Smart move

Gajser looks smooth this year, as if he is only riding at 90%. Its going to be hard to beat him with these starts he's been getting.

In MX2 those Redbull Ktm's are holeshoting machines. Are those bikes significantly quicker then the Japanese brands? Even during the second moto Seewar looked like he had to work his bike so much more especially on a track like today with it being such a high speed.

Olsen was absolutely flying. Bummer that Covington wiped him out as he could've made the podium I think.

Sanayei as well was very impressive. Wasn't just a one race flash either, he was up there every time they went out on track

I agree, Olson has great style too! As for Covington I think he made a mistake and ran in deeper on Olson then he had planned. Bummer for Olson for sure.

so I did read it correctly and stand by my original fucking post then, so the guards ARE the cause of his results then....I find that fucking funny personally....but hey lets think someone doesnt understand English because so useless rider cannot handle handguards...I get it now...thanks for the english lesson, it wasnt needed.

I look forward to seeing him ride healthy and apparently I know that when his handguards are off....

no..... the guards are the result of his hand injury, and it's the hand injury which is the cause of his results

if he was fit and healthy, he wouldn't be running hand guards, as all they do is protect his hand (hence the name), they don't affect anything, nor has he ever said that they do (nor has ANYONE)

but by all means.... continue to look like an idiot

This is one of the worst facepalms I've had on here in quite a bit. You missed the original point and did again when Bulmer brought it up. He's running the handguards because of the injury. He was stating as long as he has the handguards on he won't have great results because that means his hand must still be in fairly poor condition...because Jeffrey would never run them otherwise.

actually I get all that ML....I guess I dont understand how hand guards can affect a riders performance, just my view, and obviously one not shared by you and others...

For some riders, it's a mental block thing. Ask RC about handguards, I did once, it was an entertaining conversation.

But back to the original point. In this case and scenario, it DOESN'T affect the performance. And the poster you called on it didn't say it would affect his performance. He was saying the handguards are a visual confirmation that Herlings is still not comfortable with his hand injury as Herlings hate handguards. Meaning, as long as those are on his bike, it's a good representative or tell that Herlings is still having issues with that injury. It's the injury that would effect his performance, not the handguards per se.

It's crazy to think that Jason Anderson smoked all of these guys a few months ago.

On another note. The track itself is awesome! And the 450's are hauling ass. And so are the Euro's.

It could also have something to do with Prado only weighs like 60kilo's or so Laughing Jonas however, is pretty normal size, could be the bike Smile
